  • Patent number: 9109722
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for detecting and/or repositioning annulus spacers used to maintain the position of a pressure tube withm a calandria tube of a nuclear reactor. The method comprises the steps of: vibrationally isolating a section of the pressure tube; vibrating the wall of said pressure tube within said isolated section; detecting vibration of the wall at a minimum of two axial positions within said isolated sections; and detecting the reduction in vibration level of the wall at one or more of said axial positions in comparison to the remaining axial positions. The apparatus comprises a tool head to be inserted into the pressure tube, the tool head comprising a first end and a second and a clamping block m each of said ends. The clamping blocks are used to vibrationally isolate a section of the pressure tube located between said ends.

  • Publication number: 20130212118
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a system and method for managing and querying historical document use within a litigation history. In one illustrative embodiment, each document used in any litigation case for a specific client, corporation or individual can be included in a historical database for that client, corporation or individual. If, and when a document is tagged, redacted or produced, the history for that document can be updated with case information. A link can be provided that would enable the user to return back to the original case database. Each document can be identified by a hash value that allows efficient tracking of the same document throughout the litigation history of the client.

  • Patent number: 8348157
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods of dynamic remote peripheral binding. In one embodiment, such a system includes a local system (102) configured to bind a smart card reader (110) to the local system (102). The smart card reader (110) is configured to extract data from a smart card (112). The system includes a local authentication engine (120) that prompts the user for user authentication information associated with the smart card (112). The local authentication engine (120) authenticates that the user is associated with the smart card (112), is authorized to access the user credentials and extracts them from the smart card (112). A remote access client (116) module establishes a remote session (121) from the local system (102) to a remote system (104). The local system (102) unbinds the smart card reader (110) from the local system (102) and binds the smart card reader (110) to the remote system (104).

  • Publication number: 20110276715
Abstract: A network arrangement includes a first computer connected over a network to a second computer. Data over plural flows is communicated over the network between the first computer and second computer, where the second computer has a resource remotely accessible by the first computer over the data network, and where the second computer has a device driver to receive user input at a user input device attached to the first computer. According to different priorities assigned to the corresponding plural flows, at least a first one of the plural flows of data is caused to be throttled such that at least a second one of the plural flows is provided a greater portion of a bandwidth of the network, where the second flow is used for communication of data related to remote access of the resource of the second computer by the first computer.

  • Publication number: 20110271191
Abstract: A first computer receives data of a user interface device over a network from a second computer, wherein the data of the user interface device is received in response to a change occurring at the user interface device. In response to a request from a requesting entity in the first computer, a module in the first computer determines whether the data of the user interface device has been received by the first computer. In response to determining that the data of the user interface device has been received, the module provides the received data to the requesting entity in response to the request, and in response to determining that the data of the user interface device has not been received, the module provides an indication to the requesting entity that no change has occurred at the user interface device.

  • Patent number: 7941508
Abstract: A method comprises determining whether settings associated with a plurality of devices coupled to a client computer are provided in the client computer. The client computer is adapted to be coupled to a plurality of remote computer. If the settings are provided in the client computer, the method further comprises determining to which of the remote computers each device is to be associated, and operatively associating each device to the particular remote computer to which that device is determined to be associated. • Patent number: 5481276
Abstract: A device independent system and method of displaying text on a graphics display device. The system provides programmed routines in a storage device located on a controller card for the graphics device. These routines are loaded into memory by an operating system during initialization of the operating system. Once loaded, the routines become an extension of the operating system to provide the means for displaying information on the graphics device. Each type of graphics device contains a storage device that provides a set of access routines specifically programmed for the device. These routines have a standard interface across all devices, allowing displaying of textual information to be device independent. The storage device contains multiple sets of routines, one for each processor type capable of utilizing the graphics device, thus processor independence is achieved.
