  • Publication number: 20240292923
Abstract: An article of footwear includes an upper member and a sole structure, with a sensor system connected to the sole structure. The sensor system includes a plurality of sensors that are configured for detecting forces exerted by a user's foot on the sensor. The sensor system also includes a port that is configured to receive a module to place the module in communication with the sensors. The port includes a housing with a chamber configured to receive the module and an interface engaged with the housing and having at least one electrical contact exposed to the chamber. Additional retaining structure and interface structure may be included.

  • Patent number: 7988508
Abstract: A swimming propulsion device. The swimming propulsion device includes a fuselage having a forward section and an aft section, at least one propulsor pivotally connected to the forward section of the fuselage, and in some embodiments, at least one stabilizer affixed to the aft section of the fuselage. The device also includes a swimmer connection mechanism removably attached to the fuselage by a locking mechanism whereby the swimmer connection mechanism connects a swimmer to the device, and a control mechanism attached to the fuselage and the propulsor. A method for efficient swimming is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6859169
Abstract: A radar surveillance system includes a plurality of satellites a plurality of medium earth orbit satellites to provide continuous, long dwell coverage of a region of interest. Each satellite has an antenna having a main reflector and a subreflector electromagnetically coupled to the main reflector. A phased array generates multiple electromagnetic beams positioned so the electromagnetic beams reflect from the subreflector onto said main reflector. The system may be used in determining slow moving targets using a combination of monopulse anomaly and target spectral width measurements. The system also performs synthetic aperture radar imagery and focussed area fast moving target detection using alternating slope linear frequency modulated pulses. The plurality of medium Earth orbit satellites include a self-contained communications system consisting of high bandwidth self-relay crosslinks, high bandwidth downlink, and direct broadcast downlinks for processed data.
