  • Patent number: 5694994
Abstract: A multi-purpose routing jig comprised of a set of box type truss members which can be made of plywood or the like and may be assembled with butt joints, glue, and screws or bolts, which members can be quickly assembled or disassembled without use of other tools. The structure of the jig comprises the series of truss members which when fastened together in its primary bench-type configuration holds the router internally, in inverted position, with the bit positioned for easy and accurate access to various workpieces. The jig can fasten together in different configurations to make a) a router table and fence, b) a freehand router table, c) a joint maker or horizontal router, c) an overhead router, d) a dado and rabbet cutter, e) an edge guide, and f) an extended portable router base.

  • Patent number: 5509410
Abstract: A sensor system that detects a current representative of a compound in a liquid mixture features a two-electrode strip adapted for releasable attachment to signal readout circuitry. The strip comprises an elongated support (preferably flat) adapted for releasable attachment to the readout circuitry; a first conductor and a second conductor each extend along the support and comprise means for connection to the circuitry. An active electrode, positioned to contact the liquid mixture and the first conductor, comprises a deposit of an enzyme capable of catalyzing a reaction involving the compound and (preferably) an electron mediator, capable of transferring electrons between the enzyme-catalyzed reaction and the first conductor. A reference electrode is positioned to contact the mixture and the second conductor. The system includes circuitry adapted to provide an electrical signal representative of the current. The two-electrode strip is manufactured, e.g.

  • Patent number: 5042346
Abstract: A fixture to be used in cutting 45.degree. mitered ends on wooden workpieces by means of a table saw having an adjustable miter gauge movable on the worktable past either side of the saw blade has in plan the outline of an isosceles right triangle. This fixture is mounted on the miter gauge with its base face engaging the normal working face of the miter gauge. With the miter gauge adjusted with its working face at approximately 90.degree. to the saw blade, when the gauge moved along one of the guide tracks in the worktable and then along the other guide track without changing its adjustment, the angles respectively defined by the saw blade and the adjacent face on the fixture will total 90.degree. irrespective of any deviation of the adjustment of the miter gauge from an accurately perpendicular relation with the saw blade.
