  • Patent number: 6911777
Abstract: A clamp-on isolation transformer for an airfield lighting fixture in an airfield lighting system includes a first portion configured to receive a portion of a primary conductor of a primary current loop and a second portion configured to receive another portion of the primary conductor of the primary current loop at a location opposed to the location of the first portion. An attachment mechanism is configured to attach the first portion to the second portion such that the first and second portions surround the primary conductor. A winding is coupled to the first portion and is configured to be attached to an airfield lighting fixture.

  • Patent number: 4803774
Abstract: A molded case circuit breaker movable contact arm or carrier electrically connects with the circuit breaker trip unit or load terminal without requiring a flexible electrical conducting braid. The contact carrier is pivotally arranged within a contact carrier support to which the trip unit or load terminal lug is attached. The contact carrier pivot pin is supported on a pair of parallel posts extending from the contact carrier and a spring clip is positioned around the parallel posts and the pivoting end of the contact carrier to promote good electric transport without interfering with the rotational movement of the contact carrier.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4754247
Abstract: An integrated protection unit is a circuit breaker which includes basic overcurrent protection facility along with selective electrical accessories. A molded plastic accessory access cover secured to the integrated protection unit cover protects the accessory components from the environment. The accessory cover includes means for cooperating with a load center or panelboard circuit breaker enclosure to prevent access to the accessory components within the load center or panelboard interior.

  • Patent number: 4706054
Abstract: A magnet piece and armature are arranged around a circuit breaker load strap having a bimetal strip attached thereto. The magnet piece is formed in a U-shaped configuration and is attached to the load strap. A corresponding U-shaped armature is pivotally mounted to the magnet piece in a partially overlapping relation. The U-shape armature presents a larger magnet pole surface to the magnet piece for enhanced magnetic interaction.

  • Patent number: 4675641
Abstract: A selectable rating plug allows a standard molded case circuit breaker design to be used over a wide range of ampere ratings. The rating plug is used to control the thermal load on the thermally responsive trip element within the breaker. Movement of the thermally responsive element articulates the breaker trip mechanism in response to predetermined overload conditions to interrupt circuit current.
