Patent number: 11625774Abstract: Using position location information to pre-populate and verify information on a credit application is disclosed. A mobile application for a retailer is downloaded to a mobile device. The mobile application on the mobile device obtains authorization to access location information on the mobile device. Location information for the mobile device is received at a computer system and from the mobile device, the location information generated by a positioning system on the mobile device, the location information comprising: historic location information stored in a memory of the mobile device and real-time location information. The location information is used to prefill at least a portion of a credit application.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2018Date of Patent: April 11, 2023Assignee: BREAD FINANCIAL PAYMENTS, INCInventors: Christian Billman, James Magnuson, Jr.

Publication number: 20190244237Abstract: Systems and methods for an intermediary to manage a point exchange across a plurality of different reward programs and across a plurality of users (e.g., disparate retailers as well as disparate consumers) are disclosed. One method receives a plurality of first reward program points from an entity; each point having a monetary value for the date it was issued. A total monetary value of the plurality of first reward program points is determined. The total monetary value is exchanged into an equivalent value of an intermediary currency. The entity requests one or more second reward program points. A current value of each second reward program point is obtained and the equivalent value in the intermediary currency is determined. An amount of intermediary currency is exchanged for the one or more second reward program points. The one or more second reward program points are provided to the entity.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 23, 2018Publication date: August 8, 2019Applicant: Comenity LLCInventors: James MAGNUSON, JR., Tom PUGH, Chris KACMARSKY, Uchenna CHILAKA, Christian BILLMAN

Patent number: 10207309Abstract: A transfer apparatus (104) for transferring a workpiece (116) has a support surface (124) for supporting a workpiece (116). The transfer apparatus (104) has a carriage (128) movable with respect to the support surface (124) between a loading location and an unloading location. The transfer apparatus (104) further has a drive mechanism (146, 150) operatively connected to the carriage (128) for moving the carriage (128). The carriage (128) has a lift member (230) moveable between a lowered position and a raised position relative to the support surface (124). The carriage (128) further has a push member (292) operatively connected with the lift member (230) to enable engagement of a workpiece (116) with the push member (292) and the lift member (230) to lift at least a portion of the workpiece (116) from the support surface (124) to decrease the factional engagement between the workpiece (116) and the support surface (124).Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2016Date of Patent: February 19, 2019Assignee: Peddinghaus CorporationInventor: James Magnuson

Patent number: 9073162Abstract: A cutting device for a mill plate including a cutting tool supported for movement in a Y-direction and cutting in a Z-direction, and a conveyor for conveying a mill plate in the X-direction. A measuring device is movable in the X-direction along one side of a mill plate supported on the conveyor to map the X-axis and Y-axis positions of the mill plate one side. Positioning guides adjacent one side of the conveyor are adjusted in the Y-direction to follow the mapped Y-axis position of the mill plate one side at the X-axis position of the mill plate one side aligned with the positioning guides as the mill plate is conveyed in the X-direction. A clamp on the side opposite the mill plate one side is adapted to push the mill plate opposite side in the Y-direction to maintain the mill plate one side in engagement with the positioning guides.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2011Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: Peddinghaus CorporationInventor: James Magnuson

Publication number: 20060058602Abstract: A device useful for measuring an analyte in the interstitial fluid of an animal comprising an array chamber having an array of one or more microprojections and a detection compartment comprising a sensor in selective fluid communication with the array chamber. Also included are two extraction electrodes for inducing electrotransport of the interstitial fluid from the animal into the array chamber. A method includes the steps of forming a plurality of microchannels through a stratum corneum layer of an epidermis of the animal, inducing electrotransport of interstitial fluid containing the analyte through the microchannels and mixing one or more materials with the interstitial fluid to form a mixture, contacting the mixture with detection electrodes and analyzing the mixture with the detection electrodes.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 17, 2004Publication date: March 16, 2006Inventors: Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, James Magnuson
