Abstract: Systems and methods for managing and distributing patent-product information are presented herein. The systems and method facilitate the exchange of patent-product information, by performing the steps of: a) receiving patent-product information from a plurality of users; b) storing the patent-product information in a patent-product database on a server, in accordance with an input hierarchy; c) receiving a demand query from a public user, based on an identification marker; d) searching the patent-product database and obtaining patent-product information responsive to the public user's demand query; and e) delivering the obtained patent-product information to the public user.

In some embodiments, execution of the IPUC includes an initial assessment of the IP Value-at-Risk (Phase I); creation and funding of the required structure (Phase II); and implementation of the necessary process and control elements to manage the identified risks (Phase III). Coincident with formation, patent Sale/License-Back (“S/LB”) options as well as reinsurance or umbrella insurance policies preferably exist to enhance or accelerate execution.

Abstract: An intellectual property trading exchange is disclosed for facilitating the trading of intellectual property rights. The exchange includes at least one intellectual property license contract relating to intellectual property rights and a forum configured to allow a plurality of participants to trade the license contract. The plurality of participants includes at least one seller, which may be the owner, having the license contract and desiring to trade the license contract. The plurality of participants also includes at least one buyer desiring to obtain the license contract. The buyer may be an investor, speculator, market maker, or arbitrageur, who purchases the license contract to achieve appreciation. The buyer also may be a licensee, who purchases the license contract to practice the intellectual property rights.

Upon receipt of sensory prompting and manual or automatic input of access codes to the wireless communication device, the caller's identity and the input access code are verified. Thereafter, the call is connected through the PWN and along the PSTN to the system messaging or fulfillment center for automatic or live-operator delivery of the requested information. Automatic verification, connection, and billing modification processes are provided for implementation of the system and method.

The method includes acquiring rights in a first intellectual property asset from a seller on behalf of a patent investment entity, providing compensation to the seller in exchange for the first intellectual property asset, granting less than all of the rights in the first intellectual property asset to the seller of the intellectual property asset in exchange for a stream of payments, wherein granting less than all of the rights in the first intellectual property asset creates residual rights in the first intellectual property asset, and utilizing the residual rights in the first intellectual property asset to generate income for the patent investment entity.
