  • Publication number: 20240140709
Abstract: Automated cold storage unit and systems for storing, monitoring, and maintaining a supply of temperature sensitive pharmaceutical and/or other products in compliance with regulatory requirements are provided. Such units contain an array of independently addressable holding locations for containers with product in one or more controlled temperature zones fitted with temperature sensors. The units include a reader to track product information and status. Product movement within the unit is performed by a computer-controlled robot. A user interface device, preferably in communication with an application service provider to provide remotely managed inventory management and other services, provides users with secure access to the contents of the unit and associated product data and information.

  • Patent number: 11737934
Abstract: A trolley system configured to transport a patient within an MRI environment includes a patient support portion, a base portion configured for movement relative to a floor, a lift coupled to the patient support portion and the base portion, an electric motor coupled to the lift, and an electric blower coupled to the patient transfer device. The lift is configured to change the elevation of the patient support portion relative to the base portion. The motor is mounted such that the elevation of the motor is fixed relative to base portion. The trolley system is positionable adjacent an MRI apparatus within the MRI environment and the magnetic field of the MRI does not interfere with the operation of the motor or blower. The trolley system may further include a patient transfer device having an air bearing. The blower is configured to deliver air to the air bearing.

  • Publication number: 20230235596
Abstract: A lock mechanism having a bolt movable between a thrown position and a retracted position, and a deadbolt assembly includes a sliding deadbolt configured to slide between a locked position in which the sliding deadbolt inhibits retraction of the bolt and an unlocked position. The sliding deadbolt includes a first anti-thrust cam configured to restrain the sliding deadbolt in the locked position, and a release driver arranged such that, when driven, the release driver releases the first anti-thrust cam from restraining the sliding deadbolt in the locked position and slides the deadbolt to the unlocked position.

  • Patent number: 11458068
Abstract: An apparatus for promoting shallow breathing of a patient includes a paddle, a belt, and a bladder. The paddle may be configured to contact the body of the patient. The belt may be configured to secure the paddle against the body of the patient. Finally, the bladder may be interposed between the belt and the paddle in the installed condition, such that inflating the bladder urges the paddle toward the body of the patient so as to apply pressure to the abdomen of the patient. A method of promoting shallow breathing is also provided that includes attaching a paddle and a bladder to a belt, such that the bladder is between the paddle and the belt, positioning the paddle on the patient, and inflating the bladder to urge the paddle toward the body of the patient such that the paddle applies pressure to the abdomen of the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210341446
Abstract: A diagnostic assay to determine a percentage rumen undegraded protein in a food product by comparing the percentage of modified protein content to the total crude protein content of the food product. The total crude protein content extracted from a food product sample prior to conducting gel electrophoresis to separate modified protein content from the total crude protein content. The gel band intensities of the separated protein contents analyzed to enumerate a ratio that is used to derive a correlated percentage numen undegraded protein for a given food product sample. The diagnostic assay capable of being provided onsite for quick, cost-efficient and accurate results.
