  • Publication number: 20250128965
Abstract: A desalination system includes a container for holding a reservoir of liquid salt Water, and an ultrasound transmitter for generating ultrasound Waves to generate an aerosol of saltwater particles at a surface of the reservoir of liquid sale Water. The aerosol is conveyed through a conduit having first and second side Walls, wherein the first and second side Walls are electrically conductive and oppositely charged, which separates electrically charged aerosolized particles from neutrally charged aerosolized particles. The neutrally charged aerosolized particles are then condensed after passing through the conduit to form a body of Water having a lower salinity than the reservoir of liquid saltwater.

  • Publication number: 20240033465
Abstract: A device is provided that includes a microprocessor and a transformer. The microprocessor includes a plurality of pins, the microprocessor configured to simultaneously produce a first drive signal at a first of the plurality of pins and a second drive signal at a second of the plurality of pins, the first and the drive signals having different frequencies. The transformer includes a plurality of coils, each of the plurality of coils coupled to one of the first or second pins of the microprocessor to receive one of the plurality of drive signals, the transformer therewith producing a plurality of electromagnetic fields simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 8584397
Abstract: A plant watering system is provided that includes a control module; at least one water valve in communication with the control module; and at least one weight sensor in communication with the control module. The control module is operable in at least one embodiment at least to: receive a signal from the at least one weight sensor corresponding to a weight of a plant measured by the at least one weight sensor; store a low weight and a high weight associated with each of the at least one weight sensors; and communicate a control signal to the at least one water valve that opens the at least one water valve at the low weight and closes the at least one water valve at the high weight.

  • Patent number: 8150362
Abstract: A method and apparatus for an electronically tuned agile integrated bandpass filter is described. In one embodiment, the invention is an intermediate frequency filter for use in an integrated circuit. The filter includes a first filter stage, including a first LC resonator. The first filter stage further includes a first adjustable capacitor array coupled to the first LC resonator. The first adjustable capacitor array has an effective capacitance value adjustable through use of a first plurality of programmable data storage locations. The first plurality of programmable data storage locations are programmable through a serial control interface.

  • Publication number: 20050277219
Abstract: An accelerometer (305) for measuring seismic data. The accelerometer (305) includes an integrated vent hole for use during a vacuum sealing process and a balanced metal pattern for reducing cap wafer bowing. The accelerometer (305) also includes a top cap press frame recess (405) and a bottom cap press frame recess (420) for isolating bonding pressures to specified regions of the accelerometer (305). The accelerometer (305) is vacuum-sealed and includes a balanced metal pattern (730) to prevent degradation of the performance of the accelerometer (305). A dicing process is performed on the accelerometer (305) to isolate the electrical leads of the accelerometer (305). The accelerometer (305) further includes overshock protection bumpers (720) and patterned metal electrodes to reduce stiction during the operation of the accelerometer (305).
