  • Patent number: 11982103
Abstract: A multiple bearing locking mechanism module comprising driver bearings, track bearings, slidable boltlock blocks comprised of springs (or magnetic equivalent) and a crossbolt therein. One or more modules are controlled by a master boltlock bolt/vault either by axial or vertical movement depending on embodiment, thus compressing one or more driver bearings into the track bearings. The track bearings expand into the slidable boltlock blocks housing the crossbolt—slidably disposed in the bearing track—compressing the crossbolt into the bossbolt locking port, manifesting the locked state. The multiple bearing locking mechanism module can be encompassed in but not limited to, gate locks, safes, briefcases, toolboxes, toy boxes, multiple shackle padlocks, door locks, cable locks, et cetera.

  • Publication number: 20210240149
Abstract: A load control system may control an electrical load in a space of a building occupied by an occupant. The load control system may include a controller configured to determine the location of the occupant, and a load control device configured to automatically control the electrical load in response to the location of the occupant. The load control system may also include a mobile device adapted to be located on or immediately adjacent the occupant and configured to transmit and receive wireless signals. The load control device may be configured to automatically control the electrical load when the mobile device is located in the space. The load control system may further comprise an occupancy sensor and the load control device may automatically control the electrical load when the occupancy sensor indicates that the space is occupied and the mobile device is located in the space.

  • Patent number: 7424408
Abstract: An aircraft engine face radar cross section analysis is computed using a finite element based approach. A finite element model is only created for a periodic slice of the aircraft engine face. The system matrix of the finite element model is then transformed into a series of independent modes in a block diagonal matrix using a Discrete Fourier Transform. Each of the independent modes is then solved using an “infinite” pipe arrangement to remove the effects of rim scattering and the incident wave. The solved independent modes are summed together to determine the scattered electromagnetic field for the aircraft engine face. The scattered electromagnetic field is then used to calculate the radar cross section of the aircraft engine face.

  • Publication number: 20080025884
Abstract: Integrated Combustion Reactors (ICRs) and methods of making ICRs are described in which combustion chambers (or channels) are in direct thermal contact to reaction chambers for an endothermic reaction. Particular reactor designs are also described. Processes of conducting reactions in integrated combustion reactors are described and results presented. Some of these processes are characterized by unexpected and superior results, and/or results that can not be achieved with any prior art devices.

  • Publication number: 20060147370
Abstract: The invention is a process and device for exchanging heat energy between three or more streams in a microchannel heat exchanger which can be integrated with a microchannel reactor to form an integrated microchannel processing unit. The invention enables the combining of a plurality of integrated microchannel devices to provide the benefits of large-scale operation. In particular, the microchannel heat exchanger of the present invention enables flexible heat transfer between multiple streams and total heat transfer rates of about 1 Watt or more per core unit volume expressed as W/cc.

  • Publication number: 20060108397
Abstract: Novel methods of making laminated, microchannel devices are described. Examples include: assembly from thin strips rather than sheets; and hot isostatic pressing (HIPing) to form devices with a hermetically sealed wall. Laminated microchannel articles having novel features are also described. The invention includes processes conducted using any of the articles described.
