Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for authorizing restricted action (e.g., data access) requests using a tiered arrangement. A rule set is generated based on a policy received by an authorization server and is transmitted to a broker associated with an enterprise server. A restricted action request is received by an agent associated with the enterprise server and is provided to the broker associated with the enterprise server. The broker analyzes the request in view of the rule set and determines if the restricted action request should be granted or denied. The policy and/or rule set are updated based on activities and/or events within the system and a new rule set is generated based on the updated policy.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed for providing a rule set from an authorization server to a broker associated with an enterprise server. The broker can be configured to receive a broker understandable restricted action request from an agent associated with the enterprise server, the request originated by an endpoint device. The request can be analyzed by the broker in view of the rule set and an approve, deny, partially approve or partially deny decision can be provided from the broker to the agent. The agent can prevent the endpoint device to performing the restricted action based on the decision provided by the broker.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for deploying an authorization policy to an enterprise server in a test mode. An authorization server generates and provides a test rule set based on the policy to enterprise server. An endpoint device transmits a restricted action request to the enterprise server which analyzes the request in view of the test rule set. A request decision based on the test rule set is made and recorded without being implemented by the enterprise server. A test mode report is generated based on one or more recorded decisions and the policy is enabled or invalidated based on the test mode report.
