  • Publication number: 20240089371
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for using deepfakes defensively to detect fake, spoofed, and hoax phone calls and videoconferences are provided. A program may record a target individual reciting exemplary phrases. The program may analyze the recordings to create a baseline. The program may use deepfake algorithms to create exemplar deepfake audiovisual representations of the target individual. The program may store the data in a database. The program may analyze, in real-time, a phone call or videoconference to determine whether they are legitimate or illegitimate by comparing the audio or audiovisual contents of the phone call or videoconference with the exemplar deepfakes. When the program determines the phone call or videoconference is illegitimate, the program may terminate the call or videoconference and inform the recipient and others.

  • Patent number: 11916510
Abstract: A floating solar array having a grid of structural members with openings therebetween and supporting pontoons underneath. One or more floating solar PV modules are positioned in each of the openings and elastic connectors are used to isolate these floating solar PV modules from the movement of the structural member grid. A first end of each of the elastic connectors are connected to the structural members or to one of the grid supporting pontoons, while a second end of each elastic connector is connected either to a PV module supporting pontoon or to the PV module mounted thereon. Together, these elastic connectors allow for limited linear and torsional movement of each of the floating solar PV modules with respect to the structural member grid.

  • Patent number: 10669045
Abstract: A system and method of providing an affordable navigation, guidance and control system for arbitrary nano/micro launch vehicles by integrating commercial grade sensors with advanced estimation algorithms in a manner that provides sufficient accuracy of the resulting vehicle state estimates to inject nano/micro satellites into low earth orbits. The system and method uses commercial grade sensors and an advanced sensor-fusion estimator software that estimates and removes the estimated measurement errors and filters noise produced by the commercial grade sensors, resulting in estimated states with suitable accuracy. The filtered data are sent to a guidance and control system where actuator commands are formulated based on the filtered data. A simulated launch and flight of the launch vehicle is performed using the filtered data to validate that the GNC system and launch vehicle are ready for launch.

  • Patent number: 9361049
Abstract: An embodiment generally relates to systems and methods for determining a conversion location based on the content of a document and an intended quality level of the document. More particularly, processing logic can be configured to analyze a document submitted for rendering to determine a content level of the document. Further the processing logic can compare the content level to an intended quality level specified by a user of the document to determine whether to convert the document on local resources or in a cloud-based network. An associated conversion application in the appropriate location can convert the document into a printable format, and a print engine can render the converted document.

  • Patent number: 8231364
Abstract: Electrically heated pumps are disclosed that include electric heating elements that are linked to a process controller. In a magnetic drive pump, the external jacketing on the pump head, pressure relief valve and casing can be replaced with electric heating elements attached to the pump through the use of adhesive or mechanical fastening devices. For the bracket portion of the magnetic drive pump, the external jacketing can be removed and the heating element is attached to the canister that contains the liquid and that is located between the inner and outer magnetic drive assemblies. Through the use of appropriately placed thermocouples in the head, pressure relief valve, casing, bracket, canister, etc., and a single or multi-channel on/off, proportional or PID controller, the heating zones may be linked together, monitored and controlled to the application requirements. The disclosed pump designs may also be applied to auxiliary equipment such as strainers.
