  • Publication number: 20230280717
Abstract: A computing system may include an access engine and a heat-aware toolpath engine. The access engine may be configured to access a slice of a 3-dimensional (3D) computer-aided design (CAD) object, wherein the 3D CAD object represents a physical part and wherein the slice represents a physical layer for 3D printing of the physical part. The heat-aware toolpath engine may be configured to generate a layer toolpath to control the 3D printing of the physical layer, including by partitioning the slice into zones and determining a zone order, based on a heat-aware criterion, for the layer toolpath to traverse for the 3D printing of the physical layer. The heat-aware toolpath engine may also be configured to provide the layer toolpath to support the 3D printing of the physical part.

  • Publication number: 20220331877
Abstract: Methods for computer-aided design, engineering, visualization, or manufacturing (CAx) operations and corresponding systems and computer-readable mediums are disclosed herein. A method includes receiving, by a data processing system, a computer-aided design, engineering, visualization, or manufacturing model of a product to be manufactured. The CAx model comprises a bridge structure and at least two leg structures. The method includes slicing the CAx model into a plurality of layers, wherein each layer in each leg structure has a corresponding layer number in a sequence of layer numbers for that leg structure. The method includes maintaining an association between corresponding layer numbers of each of the leg structures. The method includes manufacturing the product according to the sequence of layer numbers and the associations, including manufacturing at least one layer of each leg structure in turn. Each leg structure completes manufacture at substantially the same time.

  • Publication number: 20170194721
Abstract: A novel electrical connector and method of manufacture is disclosed which provides an integral attachment and retention means for the purpose of electrically and mechanically interconnecting circuit elements in electronic devices, said circuit elements including but not limited to printed circuit boards, flexible printed circuits, rigid flex circuits, semiconductor package substrates, modules, and batteries. The electrical connector of the present invention utilizes a bonding material, disposed at least between the electrical spring contact elements on a surface of the connector, to bond and retain first and second portions of the electrical connector in an actuated state on a mating circuit element whereby stable and low resistance electrical interconnections are formed and maintained between the electrical connector and interconnection terminals on the mating circuit element. This design permits the electrical connector to be low-profile and use a reduced amount of space on a circuit member such as a PCB.

  • Patent number: 6173958
Abstract: A seal is provided between relatively moving parts and includes plural layers of woven material such as metal, polymer or ceramic materials. The layers are secured to one another and to a first part of the relatively moving first and second parts and extend freely from that first part into engagement with the second part. The woven material layers accommodate shape variations between the parts. In a further form, bristles are disposed between layers of woven material and secured at one end to one part. The free ends of the bristles and the free marginal portion of the woven material project toward the second part in sealing engagement therewith.

  • Patent number: 6094950
Abstract: The invention provides a lock assembly suitable for securing a swing door hinged to a refrigerated cabinet and is intended to dissuade pilfering. The lock assembly includes a strike plate having a mounting plate for mounting to the cabinet, and a locking plate spaced from the mounting plate. The lock assembly further includes a door bracket having an outer door plate to be located on an outer surface of the swing door, and a locking member mounted to the door bracket. The locking member has a locking shaft connected to the locking member for rotation with the locking member. The locking member is locatable between the mounting plate and locking plate of the strike plate and against the locking plate to lock the swing door to the cabinet in a first angular position of the locking shaft, and released from the locking plate to unlock the swing door in a second angular position of the locking shaft.

  • Patent number: 5966958
Abstract: The invention provides a condensate tray for a condenser assembly of a refrigeration assembly and a condenser assembly having the condensate tray. The condensate tray includes an operatively upper liner associated with an operatively lower tray bottom. The liner and bottom are spaced from each other to accommodate a coolant coil disposed therebetween in a predetermined path. At least one locating groove is provided in either of the upper liner and the lower bottom for locating the coolant coil in the predetermined path. The condensate tray minimizes vibration in the coil which may lead to rupture thereof. Also, the tray is easy to clean and shields the coil from condensate which may cause corrosion thereof.
