  • Publication number: 20050046420
Abstract: The frequency of the fundamental symmetric mode of two or more coupled essentially identical high temperature superconductor coils can be tuned, with little degradation in Q, by mechanically displacing the two or more coils with respect to one another. These coupled coils are useful in a detection system for detecting frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20050015995
Abstract: A cord wrap for use with a clipper is provided. The cord wrap accommodates a power cord associated with the clipper and has at least one retaining structure for retaining the power cord on the clipper. Provided on the at least one retaining structure is a cord channel which supports at least one loop of the cord.

  • Patent number: 6604287
Abstract: A hair clipper has a housing and a pair of blades secured outside of the housing. One of the blades is stationary, and the other reciprocates. A hair trimmer or other attachment is tethered to the hair clipper so that it can be selectively placed over the hair clipper blades in use, but is not lost when removed from the blades. The attachment is stored in a recess in the housing when not in use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 19, 2001
Date of Patent: August 12, 2003
    Assignee: Wahl Clipper Corporation
    Inventors: Scott Melton, James McCambridge
  • Publication number: 20030120185
Abstract: A hand-held massager includes a housing having a gripping portion and a body-contacting portion, the housing being configured for emitting a massaging liquid and the body-contacting portion being configured for emitting heat to a target surface. The massager also emits a vibration and the amount of vibration is variable, as is the amount of heat and the amount of emitted massaging liquid. A pump is disposed within the housing for dispensing the massaging liquid, and a removable reservoir is in fluid communication with the pump. The reservoir is pivotably mounted to the massager between an operational position in which the reservoir is inclined relative to the body-contacting portion, and a refill position in which the body-contacting portion is placed in a generally vertical position and the reservoir is in a generally parallel position relative to the body-contacting portion.

  • Publication number: 20030051346
Abstract: A hair trimmer or other attachment can be secured to a conventional hair clipper. The attachment has a stationary blade and a moving blade that cut hair when the moving blade reciprocates. The moving blade of the attachment is driven by a moving blade of the hair clipper, which also reciprocates. The attachment has a housing which secures the attachment to the stationary blade or other part of the hair clipper. A drive member engages the moving blade of the hair clipper when the attachment is secured to the hair clipper, and the drive member in turn drives the moving blade of the hair trimmer attachment to cut hair. The attachment can be easily detached so that the hair clipper blades can be used to cut hair in the usual manner.

  • Patent number: 4783878
Abstract: According to the invention, a canister with bottom and peripheral walls defines an accumulation space for matter picked up by the vacuum. A lid is secured to the upper edge of the canister and seals the space. The invention resides in the provision of a canister extension whose bottom edge conforms to the top edge of the canister and bears thereupon. The extension can be secured to the canister permanently or removably in any known manner, as by sonic welding or the like. The lid in turn mates with the extension in the same manner that it mates with the open canister edge. Accordingly, the canister capacity is increased. Any number of such extensions can be employed depending upon the range of capacity sought. The invention also contemplates providing a plate bounding an impeller chamber that can be inverted to selectively accommodate different capacity impellers and different capacity motors.
