Abstract: This disclosure relates to an electrical field sensor. The sensor comprises a diamond substrate with a conducting surface providing positive charge carriers and multiple defects disposed in the diamond substrate. The sensor further comprises an optical apparatus to initialise and readout the multiple defect vacancies to determine the electrical field based on a detected fluorescence of the multiple defects. The multiple defects are located at a depth below the surface to enable the positive charge carriers to reach and positively charge the multiple defect vacancies under an influence of an external negative electric field to thereby alter the fluorescence of at least some of the multiple defects. Since the fluorescence can be measured optically, no electrical connections or amplifiers are required on the surface, which means significantly higher densities of sensors can be implemented.

Abstract: Systems and methods for serving a vector tile are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a request for information associated with a geographic area. The method includes, in response to the request, accessing a vector tile associated with the geographic area. The vector tile can comprise vector data representing a feature in the geographic area and semantic metadata corresponding to the vector data. The semantic metadata can provide information associated with the vector data representing the one or more objects. The method includes serving the vector tile comprising the vector data and the semantic metadata.

Abstract: A stacking system for conveying bulk material includes a conveyor frame designed to support a conveyor belt, the conveyor frame including forward and rear portions, a hopper designed to receive the bulk material, the hopper being mounted adjacent the rear portion of the conveyor frame, an engine for providing power to the stacking system, a drive pulley for driving the belt, and an idler pulley disposed generally below the hopper. An improvement comprises a counterweight disposed above the idler pulley and to the rear of the hopper. Another way to describe the disclosure is as a counterweight for a belt-type, portable stacking conveyor having forward and rearward portions, a drive pulley disposed toward the forward portion of the conveyor and an idler pulley disposed adjacent the rearward portion of the conveyor, the counterweight being disposed immediately above the idler pulley.
