Abstract: The present invention provides a movable load bearing structure with a surface that includes antimicrobial agents capable of eliminating, preventing, retarding or minimizing the growth of microbes and also minimizing cross-contamination when the load bearing structure is being reused for cargos that differ from a previously transported cargo, for example, different food types, such as poultry, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruit. The load bearing structure may be a dunnage platform or a container for storing and/or shipping cargo.

Abstract: A coupon booklet for use by a customer at a number of stores. The booklet may include a front cover and a back cover, a number of pages provided between the front and back covers, a listing of a plurality of items entitled to discounts provided on at least one of the front and back covers and the number of pages, and a number of transmitting devices each coupled to one of the front and back covers and the number of pages and operable to transmit an information signal relatable to the plurality of items in a wireless manner. The front and back covers and the number of pages may be arranged such that the front and back cover and the number of pages are openable and closeable in a book-like manner.

Abstract: A coupon manager is provided including a front end, back end and a central processor for facilitating the processing and settlement of coupons. The coupons are received from customers at the front end which may include a cashier register. The cashier scans a bar code on the coupons and the scanned information may be supplied to the back end. The received coupons are delivered to the back end for imaging and processing. The back end determines whether the coupons are valid. Valid coupons are destroyed and sent to a destruction bin, and invalid coupons may be sent to one of a number of other bins. The processed information is forwarded to the central processor which collates the information from a number of stores and reports the information to manufacturers for settlement. The present invention also provides a booklet having a listing of discounted items identifiable by a single bar code.

Abstract: A non-toxic dye in an aerosol container to be used for protection against an assailant is disclosed. The dye is an irritant to skin and eyes and is also a semi-permanent marking dye which is intended to aid in the identification of the assailant by police.

Abstract: An improved MOS E.sup.2 cell is described which includes a floating gate and a thin oxide region. Charge injected into the substrate is used to program the floating gate by hot electron injection through the tunnel oxide region. Erasing is accomplished by tunneling through the thin oxide region. With this arrangement, the capacitance coupling between the floating gate and control gate is greatly reduced, allowing the cell to be substantially smaller. Several novel inhibit modes permit the fabrication of an array without using a selection device for each of the cells.
