  • Patent number: 11953436
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to devices, and methods for quantifying thiol content in a sample containing a mixture of proteins or protein isoforms. The method includes conjugating a portion of the sample with free thiol detection binders, separating the contents in the portion of the sample into separated protein isoforms, detecting fluorescence signals associated with each separated protein isoform, and quantifying, based on the fluorescence signals, a relative amount of free thiol associated with each separated protein isoform. In some instances, the method includes quantifying the amount of each separated protein isoform based on absorbance signals associated with each separated protein isoform. In some instances, the fluorescence and/or absorbance signals associated with protein isoforms conjugated with detection binders can be compared with the corresponding signals associated with unconjugated protein isoforms.

  • Publication number: 20170286995
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed towards a product placement system that enable a media buyer to define a persona, which is a visual representation of a fictitious individual that represents a target audience for a placement campaign, and a placement is a visible display of a product that is placed in a media vehicle. The invention stores the persona, which represents a target audience, ingests data that about placement opportunities, identifying one or more opportunities whose characteristics overlap the characteristics of the target audience, calculates an audience score, identifies one or more opportunities with which the target audience engages using social media, and calculates an engagement score that measures the relative level of engagement with the identified opportunities by the target audience.

  • Publication number: 20160043413
Abstract: A system and method in which a high temperature fuel cell stack exhaust stream is recycled back into the fuel inlet stream of the high temperature fuel cell stack. The recycled stream may be sent to a carbon dioxide separation device which separates carbon dioxide from the fuel exhaust stream. The carbon dioxide separation device may be a carbon dioxide trap, an electrochemical carbon dioxide separator, or a membrane separator. A water separator may be used in conjunction with the carbon dioxide separation device or used separately to continuously remove water from the recycled stream.

  • Patent number: 8916300
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided in which ammonia is used as a fuel source for solid oxide fuel cell systems. In the various aspects a high temperature fuel cell stack exhaust stream is recycled through one or more separation or conversion devices to create a purified recycled fuel exhaust stream that is recycled back into the fuel inlet stream of the high temperature fuel cell stack. In various aspects a nitrogen separator may remove nitrogen from the recycled fuel cell stack exhaust stream, a water separator may remove water from the recycled fuel cell stack exhaust stream, and/or an ammonia reactor and hydrogen separator may be used to condition the fuel inlet stream of the high temperature fuel cell stack.
