  • Patent number: 11571463
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to polynucleotides comprising an open reading frame of linked nucleosides encoding human interleukin-12 (IL12), functional fragments thereof, and fusion proteins comprising IL12. In some embodiments, the open reading frame is sequence-optimized. In particular embodiments, the disclosure provides sequence-optimized polynucleotides comprising nucleotides encoding the polypeptide sequence of human IL12, or sequences having high sequence identity with those sequence optimized polynucleotides.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 15, 2022
Date of Patent: February 7, 2023
    Assignee: ModernaTX, Inc.
Inventors: Joshua Frederick, Susannah Hewitt, Ailin Bai, Stephen Hoge, Vladimir Presnyak, Iain James McFadyen, Kerry Benenato, Ellalahewage Sathyajith Kumarasinghe

  • Publication number: 20180087741
Abstract: The water return apparatus of the present invention comprises a lens and a rear cover that couple together to create a sealed compartment into which electronic elements are encased. Furthermore, an adaptor couples the rear cover to a standard water return fitting of a water-bearing body, such as a swimming pool. Thus, the water return apparatus of the present invention replaces a traditional water return fitting in a swimming pool. In addition, the water return apparatus of the present invention allows for a first functional feature of facilitating the return of water to the water-bearing body and a second functional feature that is electronically driven, such as underwater lighting, underwater camera recording, underwater laser show, underwater projections, underwater sensing, and the like. Underwater sensing refers to the ability to incorporate various measuring sensors in the present inventions, such as sensors for water temperature, water clarity, movement, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20170362627
Abstract: The present disclosure provides multiparametric codon optimization methods to improve at least a property in a candidate nucleic acid sequence. Such parameters include improving nucleic acid stability (e.g., mRNA stability), increasing translation efficacy in the target tissue, reducing the number of truncated proteins expressed, improving the folding or prevent misfolding of the expressed proteins, reducing toxicity of the expressed products, reducing cell death caused by the expressed products, and increasing or decreasing protein aggregation. After such optimization, the resulting optimized nucleic acid sequence has at least one optimized property with respect to the candidate nucleic acid sequence.

  • Patent number: 8949169
Abstract: Apparatus and methods facilitate analysis of events associated with a plurality of computer systems. Event occurrence items are compared with event rules of event rule sets associated with each computer system to determine whether the items are potentially significant as determined by matching with the event rule sets. A scorer associated with each computer system assigns a score to each event occurrence item to provide a relative indication of the potential significance of the event occurrence item. An interface is used to query the scored event occurrence items from each of the plurality of computer systems.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 18, 2012
Date of Patent: February 3, 2015
Inventors: Tim Shelton, David Harris, James McFadyen, Charles Van Niman
  • Patent number: 8730610
Abstract: A distance between a head and a storage media is measured. An amount of power applied to a heater element in the head is adaptively adjusted based on a difference between the measured distance and a reference position indicating a desired distance between the head and the storage media. Related circuits and devices are also discussed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 21, 2007
Date of Patent: May 20, 2014
    Assignee: Seagate Technology LLC
Inventors: James McFadyen, Kiem Nguyen, Jingbo Yu
