  • Publication number: 20240370828
Abstract: An example method includes storing in memory a digital model that includes a plurality of subsystems representing different functions of a system, where each subsystem includes model elements, and design responsibility for different ones of the model elements is assigned to different engineering teams. The method includes receiving, from a user not part of a first engineering team, a request to access a particular model element of a particular subsystem, wherein design responsibility for the particular model element is assigned to the first engineering team, and the particular model element includes at least one redaction implemented according to a security policy of the first engineering team. The method includes performing at least one of facilitating delivery of a redacted version of the particular model element to the user that includes the at least one redaction, and facilitating delivery of an unredacted version of the particular model element to the user.

  • Publication number: 20200310561
Abstract: An input device (e.g., a stylus) can be configured for use in an augmented/virtual reality environment and can include a housing and a first and second sensor set configured on a surface of the housing. The first and second sensor sets can be controlled by one or more processors that are configured to generate a first function in response to the first sensor set detecting a pressing force on a first region of the housing, and generate a second function in response to the second sensor set detecting a squeezing force on a second region of the housing. A first parameter of the first function may be modulated based on a magnitude of the first pressing force on the first region, and a parameter of the second function may be modulated based on a magnitude of the squeezing force on the second region.

  • Patent number: 10735007
Abstract: Limiting frequency overshoot in a timing recovery loop involves using a proportional-integral (PI) control system to discipline a frequency of an output signal of a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) in accordance with a time reference signal. A control signal output of the PI control system is monitored to detect conditions which will prospectively cause an excess deviation of the VCO frequency. In response to detecting such a condition, an output of an integral error term generator of the PI control system is locked or held constant. This will have the effect of preventing the excess frequency deviation of the VCO.

  • Patent number: 9990264
Abstract: A Graphic Performance Index (GPI) for increasing performance of graphics in a process control system graphical user interface (GUI). A GUI is built from GUI elements for use on a device. Determining an element load time for each GUI element based a hardware profile of the device permits calculating a total load time of all the element load times of the GUI elements. And the load time is mapped to a GPI scale. Based on the GPI, the GUI elements of the GUI are altered to improve the performance of the GUI.

  • Patent number: 9318078
Abstract: A computer system and method removes or changes graphic content not discernable from the rendering tree stored in memory. The content modified depends on its redraw area in a physical monitor or a pane, which is contained within a layout in a frame. One or more frames are defined as part of a logical monitor. A physical monitor may have one or more logical monitors. Each redraw area is determined and graphic content is modified with different graphic having a memory use less than the original graphic that is determined not to be discernable based on the resolution and zoom information.

  • Publication number: 20060032485
Abstract: Mechanical systems having anti-stick mediums applied thereto are provided. In one aspect, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve systems having anti-stick mediums applied thereto are also provided. The anti-stick medium can be applied to any contacting surface, such as but not limited to the valve surface and/or the valve seat surface. The anti-stick medium is intended to prevent the valve surface and the valve seat surface sticking or bonding together, especially with respect to the operation of cooled or cold side EGR systems. If any materials should stick to the anti-stick medium, a portion of the anti-stick medium will break away from the surface, allowing the surface and/or component to function normally. The anti-stick medium can include, without limitation, boron nitride coatings, boron nitride aerosols, boron nitride greases, thin dense chrome platings, perfluoroalkoxy, and combinations thereof.
