  • Publication number: 20260174920
Abstract: A flushometer including a sanitation unit is described herein. The sanitation unit may be configured to emit ultraviolet light in response to the flushometer effectuating a flush of the fixture. The ultraviolet light may sterilize and/or sanitize a plume caused as a result of the flush. The ultraviolet light may be emitted for a predetermined amount of time to sterilize, sanitize, and/or kill any pathogens contained in the plume. Additionally or alternatively, the sanitation unit may emit the ultraviolet light periodically. For example, the sanitation unit may emit the ultraviolet light in response to receiving one or more signals from a gateway and/or server. The sanitation unit may provide an environmentally friendly solution that reduces water consumption and/or cleans, sanitizes, and/or sterilizes plumbing fixtures, toilet seats, etc. between uses without the need for harsh chemicals and/or cleaning solutions.

  • Patent number: 10723990
Abstract: A container, such as a disposable or single use bioreactor, optionally having one or more inlets and one or more outlets and a mixer associated with the container to cause mixing, dispersing, homogenizing and/or circulation of one or more ingredients contained or added to the container. The container includes a flexible baffle shaped and positioned within the container to improve mixing, particularly to improve low shear mixing. The baffle is positioned within the container so as to disrupt the vortex formed by the mixer, or prevent formation of a vortex. The baffle is shaped with both horizontal and vertical elements to enhance disruption of the vortex across the entire vessel height and provide homogeneous mixing throughout all operating volumes. In certain embodiments, the baffle is X-shaped.

  • Publication number: 20160244710
Abstract: An aeration device, and containers or vessels incorporating the same. The aeration device can comprise a plurality of interchangeable aeration elements that can produce gas bubble of different sizes and deliver them to the contents of the container. Also disclosed are containers, such as a disposable or single-use container, optionally having one or more inlets and one or more outlets, an aeration device including a plurality of aeration elements, and a mixer to cause mixing, dispersing, homogenizing and/or circulation of one or more ingredients contained or added to the container. The container can be a bioreactors and the aeration device controls the dissolved gas concentration content of the bioreactor contents, thereby facilitating proper growth of cell cultures in the bioreactor.
