  • Publication number: 20240100461
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for the automated cleaning of filters and filter walls within heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. Disclosed devices can include self-cleaning filter assemblies configured to receive and surround at least one filter, such as an HVAC filter. In some embodiments, the self-cleaning assemblies receive and surround at least one filter and at least one fan. For example, at least one filter or filter wall comprising multiple filters and fan may be combined together into a single cube, where the cube is then received and surrounded by the self-cleaning casing. In some embodiments, the self-cleaning assemblies or cubes receive and surround at least one filter, at least one fan, and at least one heat transfer coil. The cleaning system can have different cleaning cycles, such as a cleaning cycle that cleans the filter(s) and a different cleaning cycle that cleans the heat transfer coil.

  • Publication number: 20240068750
Abstract: A heat transfer cube includes a housing at least partially bounding a compartment, the housing having a first end with a first opening formed thereat that communicates with the compartment and an opposing second end with a second opening formed thereat that communicates with the compartment. A coil unit is disposed within the compartment between the first opening and the opposing second opening. The coil unit includes a first plate, a last plate, and a plurality of tubes each having a first end connected to the first plate and an opposing second end connected to the second plate. The housing further includes an inlet communicating with the first end of each of the plurality of tubes and an outlet communicating with the second end of each of the plurality of tubes.

  • Publication number: 20230280116
Abstract: Disclosed are devices and systems for self-cleaning deep HVAC coils with built-in self-cleaning mechanisms and enhanced heat transfer, and methods of cleaning thereof. For example, some embodiments of a deep HVAC coil include a series of built-in self-cleaning mechanisms disposed among an array of heat transfer coils. Depending on the size and depth of the deep HVAC coil, the number of self-cleaning mechanisms may vary. The disposition and installation of self-cleaning mechanisms in the deep coil HVAC is configured to provide an even distribution and injection of a desired cleaning solution or foam which sufficiently covers an internal surface area of the deep HVAC coils and sufficiently fills an internal volume of the deep HVAC coils.

  • Publication number: 20230258421
Abstract: Apparatus and system for self-cleaning a heat transfer coil of an HVAC system includes a foam or spray generator, one or more manifolds, one or more couplers, and a controller. The foam or spray generator is configured to generate foam or spray. Each manifold includes one or more emitters. The couplers are configured to couple the manifolds onto the heat transfer coil of the HVAC system, such that the emitters are configured to emit the foam or spray onto a side of the heat transfer coil. The controller is configured to cause the foam or spray generator to generate the foam or spray and cause the emitters to emit the foam or spray when a fan is running, such that the foam or spray is caused to flow through the heat transfer coil to clean debris off or apply a treatment to the heat transfer coil.
