  • Publication number: 20150140288
Abstract: A system and method for constructing a molded fiber article capable of having detailed indicia embossed thereon is provided. A molded fiber article having a smooth surface with detailed indicia is also provided. The system includes using a wire mesh structure coupled with an embossing plate such that the embossing plate imparts a smooth surface with indicia onto the molded fiber article during formation. The smooth surface if the embossing plate allows for greater detail than that of the textured surface created by the wire mesh structure. The system may also include a forming die that generally conforms to the wire mesh structure to facilitate formation of the molded fiber article. The wire mesh structure may include a recessed area for housing the embossing plate, which may be attached to the wire mesh structure using fasteners and a backing plate.

  • Publication number: 20130292139
Abstract: A system and method is provided for the controlled entry of a tubing string, and cable adjacent thereto, into a wellbore. A stationary housing is fit to a wellhead and has a bore in communication with the wellbore. The cable can be laterally displaced from the bore into a cable access formed into the side wall of the stationary housing for fitting a sealing assembly to the bore and engages a sealing surface therein. The sealing assembly seals tubulars passing therethrough. The cable access interrupts the sealing surface. A cable bypass sub is fit to the cable access and permits the cable to extend sealingly from above the sealing surface to the wellbore wherein the cable bypasses the sealing assembly and sealing surface. A seal reconstitutes the interrupted portion of the sealing surface at the cable access.

  • Publication number: 20120217022
Abstract: A rotating flow head has a lubricated bearing pack for isolating bearing elements from wellbore fluids under pressure. The bearing pack, having a rotating cylindrical sleeve, bearing elements and two seal assemblies, is secured within an assembly bore of a stationary housing by a retainer plate accepting a plurality of lag bolts circumferentially spaced around a top portion of the stationary housing. Each of the seal assemblies have at least one sealing element having a body, an annular cavity, an inner sealing surface, and a flange that distends radially outwardly when axially compressed. A loading ring fit to the annular cavity urges the inner sealing surface radially inwardly to sealingly engage the rotating cylindrical sleeve. The inner sealing surface further comprises a first and second sealing surface and a debris channel therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20120085545
Abstract: A rotating flow head (RFH) has a housing having an internal bore with diameter substantially equal to that of a riser and at least one flow port proximate one longitudinal end thereof. First and second arrays of radially extensible and retractable locking elements are disposed circumferentially around the RFH housing. The RFH has a bearing assembly (BA) housing having an exterior diameter selected to fit within the internal bore of the RFH housing so as to provide an annular space therein. The BA housing engages one of the arrays of locking elements when extended. A mandrel is rotatably, sealingly supported within the BA housing. Another end of the BA housing and the other array of locking elements provide longitudinal force on the BA housing when the other array is extended. A seal element disposed in the annular space is energized by the longitudinal force applied to the BA housing.

  • Patent number: 5799895
Abstract: A rolled paper dispensing apparatus for securing a paper roll on a surface, which apparatus includes a base plate fitted with a friction-inducing area or areas and at least one roll spindle projecting from the base plate for receiving a roll of paper towels, toilet paper or like rolled paper product, and dispensing paper in selected lengths by rotation of the roll on the roll spindle. The rolled paper product or paper roll is placed on the roll spindle, resting lightly on the base plate friction-inducing area(s). The dispensing mode is initiated by grasping the leading sheet edge of the paper roll and pulling the leading sheet edge in a controlled unwinding of the paper roll while maintaining the paper roll in a position of least rotational resistance by disengaging the paper roll from the friction-inducing area(s), thus allowing controlled rotation of the paper roll on smooth surfaces of the base plate and smooth edges of the roll spindle.

  • Patent number: 5476057
Abstract: A sealing and supporting member for filling the gap between a keel mounted mast and the deck of a sailboat is produced by introducing a sealing compound in a fluidic state into the gap and allowing the sealing compound to cure and create the sealing and supporting member which sealingly engages both the mast and the deck.

  • Patent number: 4684138
Abstract: A chuck attachable to a drill powered by a reversible motor, is adapted for use in driving lag rods into wooden supports and has an axial bore extending therethrough which is partly threaded from one end to receive the machine-threaded end of a lag rod. A plug member is screwed into the threaded end of the bore of the chuck and has a formation enabling it to be so turned as to be seated at the inner end of the threads for engagement by the extremity of the machine threaded end of the lag rod. In order to so reduce the frictional engagement between the plug member and the extremity of the lag rod, the area of the engaged extremities is limited thus to ensure the release of the lag rod when the motor is reversed after the lag rod has been driven into the support to a desired extent.
