  • Publication number: 20060218797
Abstract: A continuous feed line trimmer in which the spool or container of reserve cutting line is mounted independently from the trimmer. The trimmer having a set of gears or rollers that pull the cutting line from the spool or container forcing it through a hollow tube then through a hollow rotating shaft and then through a rotating cutter head to cut vegetation. By mounting the reserve spool or container of cutting line independently of the trimmer the footage of cutting line held in reserve is increased dramatically, thereby enormously reducing the downtime used to replenish cutting line. Trimmer can be mounted as a stand alone unit with its own power source or can be mounted as an auxiliary attachment on mowers, tractors etc.

  • Publication number: 20060206655
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for forming an Advanced Switching (AS) packet by applying AS path binding information to a packet received over a Peripheral Component Interconnect-Express (PCIe) fabric according to a downstream port identifier associated with the packet, and sending the AS packet to an AS fabric. Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for processing an AS packet received over an AS fabric by comparing an AS payload of the AS packet with one or more memory spaces associated with port identifiers, determining whether the AS payload comprises a base packet to be transmitted to the PCIe fabric based on the comparison, and if so, removing an AS header from the AS packet to reveal the base packet.

  • Patent number: 7064317
Abstract: A method of inhibiting the reaction between ions of opposite polarity is disclosed. The method includes exposing a population of ions to a resonance excitation frequency during a mass-to-charge altering reaction between a first subpopulation of ions and a second subpopulation of ions, the resonance excitation frequency being tuned to inhibit the mass-to-charge altering reaction between an ion of the first subpopulation of ions having a predetermined mass-to-charge ratio and an ion of the second subpopulation of ions so that when an ion of the first subpopulation of ions attains the predetermined mass-to-charge ratio, the ion having the predetermined mass-to-charge ratio is selectively inhibited from reacting with ions of the second subpopulation of ions.

  • Patent number: 7058182
Abstract: A digital hearing aid according to the present invention is capable of measuring its own performance. The measurement and initialization capability may be entirely integral to the hearing aid, or an external processor may be used to download the measurement program and the run time program, and assist in computing the parameters. The hearing aid includes a test signal generator for feeding a test signal into the hearing aid amplifier. The response to the test signal is acquired at a specific point in the hearing aid, depending upon what aspect of performance is to be measured. Various elements of the hearing aid and/or the hearing aid feedback may be bypassed. The hearing aid further includes the capability of initializing hearing aid parameters based upon the performance measurements.

  • Publication number: 20060030350
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and apparatus for interacting with a communications system. Interaction with the communications system occurs by identifying an access point. An estimate of link-loss from a mobile node to the access point is then determined. Also determined is an allowable power density limit proximate to the access point. A communications signal that is suitable for interacting with the communications system is generated. The level of the communications signal is adjusted according to the estimated link-loss and also according to the allowable power density limit. The level adjusted signal is then directed to the access point.
