Abstract: Laser scanning systems and methods are disclosed herein that can provide quick and efficient measurement of extruded ceramic logs, particularly related to log shape, during manufacture. Two two-dimensional laser scans from respective laser scanners are performed and the resulting laser scan data is combined to form a three-dimensional surface shape measurement of the ceramic log. The systems and methods disclosed herein enable a non-contact measurement of the extruded ceramic log, which reduces the risk of physically damaging the log. The measurement results can be used to adjust the extrusion process of the extruder that forms the extruded ceramic logs.

The device may include an arm, an upper clamp, and a lower clamp, which are configured for coupling to a pedicle rod. The upper clamp may be rotationally and/or translationally movable with respect to at least one of the arm and the lower clamp. Thus the user can select, alter and order the media elements, but does not download the media elements to the user's computer in a form that can be used independently of the authoring application. A media aggregator and authoring application allows users to combine text, images and video into their own multi-media narratives.

Abstract: An electronic drywall fastener/stud locator that includes a plurality of metal detectors connected together, each having a shunt resistance that varies based on the size of surrounding metal objects and the proximity of these objects. A sensing circuit is coupled to the sensor plates to measure the resonant frequency of the sensor plates. A controller is coupled to the sensing circuit to analyze the resonant frequency and parallel reactance measured by the sensing circuit. One or a plurality of indicators are coupled to the controller and are selectively activated to identify the location of a relative high inductance, which can be indicative of a wooden or metallic stud behind a surface.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for implementing a cleansing farm are presented. A cleansing farm may comprise of a computing device that filters customer requests directed to an organization before they are routed internal to the organization. A cleansing farm may receive customer requests and filter the requests based on a set of filtering rules. The cleansing farm may inspect the customer request in order to determine whether it should be filtered. In an example where the organization is a financial institution, the customer request may include confidential customer information. Accordingly, in this example, the cleansing farm may be administered by an entity that is permitted to access the confidential customer information. A visualization tool may be used to visualize a plurality of customer requests at a cleansing farm and to generate rules for filtering customer requests at a cleansing farm.

Abstract: This invention pertains to all residential and commercial flush toilets with or without water tank storage systems. An external exhaust system, which is activated by user, maintains constant suction in the bowl. A strategically sized and placed exhaust port is the only modification to the toilet bowl necessary to realize the previously stated objectives. This invention uses engineering hydraulic properties of water and air to achieve the toilet flushing and the removal of odorous air as it is created by human waste in the bowl. There are no electrical or mechanical devices added to the present art of the bowl construction, except the attic electric fan.
