  • Publication number: 20210039792
Abstract: This innovation provides access to a non intrusive, personal trash collection receptacle, for use by an airline passenger during a flight. This is provided by the placement of a flexible plastic storage bag, located and connected to a fold down tray table hinge mechanism incorporated within a seat back on the aircraft. Such a storage bag may be attached to a cooler, or ice chest to provide hikers with a convenient way to temporarily store trash for responsible disposal.

  • Patent number: 8465102
Abstract: The present invention provides a child safety seat installed within a motor vehicle, including both upper portions of a harness web threaded through a pair of sleeves surrounding that portion of the web proximate a child's chest area. It is an object of this invention to eliminate the disadvantages of the harness webs, tangs and buckle, falling into the depression or concavity formed by the contours of the seat, interfering with placing a child within the seat. The upper portions of both webs are required to be connected laterally to offer protection against separation in the event of a sudden deceleration. The sleeves therefore include a latchable connector to selectively couple or uncouple one sleeve to another. A magnet is positioned upon each sleeve, and metallic strips embedded within the seat sides.

  • Publication number: 20130083664
Abstract: A system for monitoring a remote site includes a remote management module including a processor and memory configured to receive and store definitions of the measurements and alarms, and a communication system for reporting collected measurements and alarms to upstream systems, and at least one remote measuring block including port connectors for communicating the remote measuring block with downstream collection devices that collect measurements and alarms at the remote site. A networking connection such as an Ethernet connection is provided between the remote management module and the remote measuring block for transferring data therebetween. The blocks can be located near terminations of the collection devices to reduce the amount of required cabling. The remote management module can store configuration and operating software for the blocks so that new blocks can be automatically configured upon replacement of failed blocks.

  • Publication number: 20060216663
Abstract: An explosive gas incinerator system comprises a fume source inlet for receiving a process exhaust with a volatile material that is explosive when its concentration exceeds a lower explosive limit (LEL). A source flowmeter measures the volume of process exhaust being input. A temperature sensor measures the temperature of the process exhaust. A motorized damper is used for diluting the process exhaust with an ambient air input to produce a damper outflow with an explosive concentration less than the LEL. A damper flowmeter measures the total mixture volume of the process exhaust and ambient air input in the damper outflow. Another temperature sensor measures the temperature of the damper outflow. A gas monitor measures the concentration of volatile material in the damper outflow. An oxidizer burns the damper outflow in a flame to produce a cleaner exhaust, and a fan forces gas flows through the oxidizer.

  • Publication number: 20060088524
Abstract: Tissue Factor (natural or recombinant truncated) can be incorporated into stable, soluble nanoscale particles so that activity is maintained. These particles can be used as a reagent in prothrombin clotting time assays or they can be used in therapeutic compositions for use in humans or animals. Therapeutic settings can include supplementation in the case of a genetic deficiency, uncontrolled bleeding, surgical incisions or seepage, thrombocytopenia, soft tissue trauma or other trauma, to effect tumor regression or to inhibit tumor growth.

  • Publication number: 20040159665
Abstract: A closure, set within an aperture of a container end wall, for gas tight containment of dissociating gasses that emit from carbonated beverage, whereby the container, such as a beverage container, becomes pressurized. The closure device, manufactured of a suitable plastic material, set within an aperture in a container end wall, includes a rim seal with an annular locking recess surrounding the aperture in the container end wall, providing a liquid and gas-tight seal. The rim seal includes a depending tapered inner wall, protruding into the container interior, with the larger diameter open to the container interior. Additionally, the rim seal is fitted with a narrow strip hinge on a lower aspect, and locking members located on an upper aspect. A sealing panel, having a small diameter gas vent hole, is set within the rim seal, connected by the narrow strip hinge. This panel is formed with a tapered outer depending wall with a like taper to the rim seal, such that the tapers cooperate in sealing engagement.

  • Patent number: 4605226
Abstract: A sports training device which includes an opaque shield releasably mounted on a protective helmet on the side opposite the source of a projectile travelling toward the user, in the case of baseball, or on the side facing the direction of intended flight of the ball to be struck whereby movement of the user's head out of the desired position results in the shielding of the eyes of the user from the projectile.
