Abstract: A method and system for creating and navigating linear hypermedia resource programs are disclosed. The system includes a distributed hypermedia resource network having a plurality of hypermedia resources residing on one or more remote information nodes. A common remote information node is in communication with a subscriber station and the remote information nodes in the distributed network. The common remote information node contains at least one linear hypermedia resource program consisting of pre-selected media elements from one or more hypermedia resources linked with exclusive linear links, each media element in the linear program having only one forward link to the next media element. The method includes the steps of downloading and displaying a media element in the linear program and responding to user commands to download and display the next media element in the linear program.

Abstract: A siding installation tool is provided comprising a main body portion including a spacing flange. The spacing flange includes a hook member disposed to hang the tool from a top edge of a first siding panel and a seat member disposed to receive the bottom edge of a second siding panel, wherein the flange portion is sized to provide a partial overlap of the first siding panel by the second siding panel when the tool is attached to the first siding panel by the hook member and the second siding panel is seated in the seat. The tool also includes measuring means located on the tool.

Abstract: A clip for siding panels installed on a wall of a structure includes a substantially planar nailing face and a seat extending from a bottom edge of the nailing face disposed to receive the bottom edge of an overlapping siding panel. A hook member extends from a top edge of the nailing face and is disposed to hang the clip from a top edge of a siding panel overlapped by the overlapping siding panel. The nailing face is sized to provide a partial overlap of the overlapped siding panel by the overlapping siding panel when the clip is attached to the overlapped siding panel by the hook member and the overlapping siding panel is seated in the seat.

Abstract: A communication management system (48) for personalized mobility management of wireless services includes at least one wireless communication device (36), a mobility aware content server (50), and a wireless communication system (10). The mobility aware content server (50) sends a location specific content (60) to the wireless communication system (10) in response to a current location (62), a movement speed (64), and a movement direction (66) of the wireless communication device (36). The wireless communication system (10) is coupled to the mobility aware content server (50), and, upon receipt of the location specific content (60) from the mobility aware content server (50), transmits the location specific content (60) to the wireless communication device (36).

Abstract: An updateable message encoder/transmitter (100) has a processor (109) for encoding messages and message updates. A message includes an origination time (191), a version number (410) and an update lifetime indicator (424), and a message update includes the origination time (191) and the version number. A transmitter (120) broadcasts the message and the message update message receiver/decoder (130) receives the message and the message update, a processor (212) processes the message to determine when the message update is being received. The processor checks the update lifetime indicator of the message indicated by the message update to determine if the message to which the message update is intended can be updated. A comparator compares the origination time of the message with the origination time of the message update to determine if the message update is an out-of-sequence message update.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for increasing efficiency in displaying characters on a display within the data processing system. A plurality of processes for displaying characters on the display in a data processing system are provided. Each of the processes requires a different amount of processor resources to display characters on the display. One of the processes is selected such that the selected process provides a more efficient display of characters on the display than other processes. Characters may be displayed by caching font data in system memory of the data processing system. Glyph bitmaps for a particular character may be moved from the cache to a graphics adapter utilizing a permanent move instruction available in the CPU. Characters are moved to the graphics adapter on a fixed scanline basis, either encompassing the entire width of the character or the entire string of characters on a line.

Abstract: Disclosed is a large size Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 :Eu lamp phosphor as a red component for a water degradation resistant blend of fluorescent phosphors having large sized green phosphor particles and the method for making by blending yttrium oxide and europium oxide with fluxing agents, firing, milling the fired phosphor; sieving the milled phosphor to obtain a phosphor with an average particle size greater than about 5 by Coulter Counter to produce a sieved phosphor, and encapsulated a conformal coating of gamma alumina on said sieved phosphor by vapor chemical vapor deposition to form a resulting coated Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 :Eu phosphor with additional phosphor components including a green phosphor to form a lamp phosphor blend, and applying the blend to a lamp as a water based suspension.
