  • Patent number: 11257595
Abstract: A low-power platform senses an environment around the platform. The platform includes sensor interfaces, a multiplexer, a dual port memory, a processor, and a radio. The similar sensor interfaces are for attaching environmental sensors. The multiplexer combines the environmental data from the attached environmental sensors into a single stream. The dual port memory temporarily stores the stream. The processor intermittently retrieves the stream from the dual port memory. The radio forwards the stream toward a central system. Each interface includes a mechanical interlock for attaching a respective environmental sensor and an electrical interlock for detecting whether the mechanical interlock engages the environmental sensor. Each interface transfers peripheral power and environmental data for the respective environmental sensor.

  • Patent number: 11037262
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer program products are provided. In an example embodiment, a method is provided comprising receiving input identifying load information corresponding to a load to be inserted into a transportation plan. The transportation plan comprises a plurality of transportation schedules, each schedule comprising a plurality of transportation movements. The method further comprises identifying an available movement network comprising portions of transportation schedules having open capacity, each portion of a transportation schedule having open capacity being a potential leg of a path from the origin location to the destination location; determining potential solutions for transporting the load from the origin location to the destination location by combining one or more legs to determine a path of open capacity movements from the origin location to at least part way to the destination location; and providing one or more potential solutions for display via a user interface.

  • Publication number: 20210029544
Abstract: A technique for implementing an untethered access point (UAP) mesh involves enabling AP-local switching at one or more UAPs of the mesh. A system constructed according to the technique may include an untethered access point (UAP), including: a radio; a backhaul service set identifier (SSID) stored in a computer-readable medium; an anchor access point (AAP) selection engine embodied in a computer-readable medium. In operation, the AAP selection engine may use the radio to attempt to associate with the AAP if a beaconed backhaul SSID matches the stored backhaul SSID. A method according to the technique may include beaconing with a backhaul SSID; acting in concert with an upstream switch as an authenticator for a downstream station that responds to the beacon; providing limited local switching functionality for the downstream station.

  • Publication number: 20200404498
Abstract: A technique for implementing AP-local dynamic switching involves Layer 2 switching. This may be accomplished by providing data associated with wireless stations to an AP sufficient to enable the AP to determine whether traffic from a particular wireless station should be locally switched. Alternatively, the wireless station may be able to determine whether to locally switch traffic based upon the traffic itself. For example, it may be desirable to AP-locally switch voice traffic to avoid latency, which is particularly detrimental to voice transmissions such as voiceover-IP. Traffic that is not to be switched locally is Layer 2 tunneled upstream.

  • Patent number: 10852751
Abstract: Techniques for an autonomous mobile unmanned machine such as an unmanned aerial vehicle or drone or a robot to access a closed door are described. The techniques include programming the autonomous mobile unmanned machine to pass through a particular location within a facility that has one or more doors, and sense by the autonomous mobile unmanned machines a beacon signal emanating from a beacon deployed in proximity to a first one of the one or more doors in the facility, by receiving the beacon signal by a receiver device on the autonomous mobile unmanned machines. The techniques send a message to either a server or an access control system when the autonomous mobile unmanned machines determines that it needs access through the door at the specified location identified by the beacon and receives a message from either the server or the access control system that the door has been unlocked.

  • Patent number: 10848414
Abstract: In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a network node configured to be included in a set of network nodes operatively coupled to a core network node. The network node is configured to receive a first packet and a second packet from a host device operatively coupled to the network node. The network node is configured to send the first packet to the core network node via a first path of a tunnel between the network node and the core network node. The first path of the tunnel has a first cost. The network node is configured to send the second packet to the core network node via a second path of the tunnel. The second path has a second cost different than the first cost.

  • Patent number: 10812370
Abstract: In general, embodiments relate to a method for processing packets in a network. The method includes receiving, by a first network element, a route comprising a first loopback address (LBA) associated with a second network element, and a loopback network layer reachability information (loopback NLRI) specifying the LBA and a plurality of interfaces on the second network element associated with the LBA. The method further includes receiving, by the first network element, a packet, making a first determination that the LBA is a next hop for the packet, based on the first determination, selecting a first interface of the plurality of interfaces, transmitting the packet towards the first interface.
