    Abstract: A Beach Mat with built-in Adjustable Sun Shade is described. The head of the mat contains elastic stays. These elastic stays permit the head of the mat to be shaped into an arc with the help of strings. Said arc becomes a sun shade. On relief of the tension of the stays by releasing the strings, the mat may be rolled into a small cylinder for transportation and storage.
