    Abstract: A device, system and method for sequenced switching of a transfer switch. The method includes receiving a first monitoring signal indicating either one of an actuation of a fire alarm system or a first change of state in a primary power source from an on state to an off state. The method includes opening a first control relay connected to the primary power source and a second control relay connected to the secondary power source. The method further includes switching a safety relay from a first connection to the primary power source to a second connection to the secondary power source.
