    Abstract: A magnetic brush developing apparatus has a partitioned storage hopper which receives developer material returned from a transport roller in a developer station. Partitions in the hopper direct the flow of such material in one direction. A single auger receives such material when it approaches one end of the hopper and moves it in the opposite direction to the other end of the hopper. Material is metered from the hopper to a development roller and then to the transport roller.
