  • Patent number: 10994651
Abstract: A system that includes a notification light configured to be coupled with a first vehicle and to emit light to notify an approaching, second vehicle of the location of the first vehicle. A controller is provided that includes one or more processors configured to determine one or more of a direction of movement of the first vehicle, a speed of the movement of the first vehicle, or a distance between the first vehicle and the approaching, second vehicle. The controller is configured to notify the approaching, second vehicle of the one or more of the direction of the movement of the first vehicle, the speed of the movement of the first vehicle, or the distance between the first vehicle and the second vehicle by directing the notification light to change a characteristic of the light emitted by the notification light.

  • Patent number: 10889276
Abstract: In a method of train deceleration, a train computer: (a) causes brakes of the train to be set according to a target deceleration curve, profile, or braking model estimated to decelerate the train from a present speed at a present location to a target speed at a target location; (b) during deceleration of the train according to the target deceleration curve, profile, or braking model of step (a), determines an actual deceleration curve of the train; (c) in response to determining from the actual deceleration curve that the train will overshoot the target speed at the target location, determines another target deceleration curve, profile, or braking model estimated to decelerate the train to the target speed at the target location; and (d) causes the brakes of the train to be set according to the other target deceleration curve, profile or braking model of step (c).

  • Publication number: 20200334714
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for personalizing a campaign to a recipient based on interactive surveys. A link to the interactive survey, unique to each recipient, is sent to each recipient to track survey responses. The systems and methods may track the answers, the time spent in each section, and the recipient's eye movement. Based on the tracked information, the systems and methods identify one or more interests of the recipient and match a related product to that interest. The systems and methods generate a campaign for the recipient based on the identified interests for the related product.

  • Publication number: 20200160549
Abstract: In a method of determining a length of a train, a first camera at the head of the train acquires a first image of a first object on or proximate a path of the train and a second camera at the end of the train acquires a second image of a second object on or proximate the path of the train. A controller determines a length of the train based on a first geographical location associated with the first object in the first image and a second geographical location associated with second object in the second image. The first and second geographical locations of the first and second objects can be determined from corresponding prerecorded images of the objects that are geotagged with the geographical locations of the objects.

  • Publication number: 20200142943
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for electronically providing each of a plurality of content distributors with access to a library of content items, facilitating the selection of a combination of the content items, creating a unique set of links for each recipient-distributor combination, and distributing the selected content and unique links via one or more distribution channels to a plurality of recipients. As each link is associated with both a recipient and a distributor, conversion actions stemming from the selection of a link by a recipient are attributed to the proper distributor. Distributors can create content distribution approaches that can be shared with other distributors.

  • Publication number: 20200108847
Abstract: In a method of determining a radius or diameter of a train wheel, a camera mounted on a train acquires first and second images (pictures) of first and second objects spaced along a path being traveled by the train. Matches are then determined between the first and second objects appearing in the first and second acquired images and representations (pictures) of the first and second objects appearing in prerecorded images included in a track database that include corresponding first and second geographical locations. A distance L traveled by the train between the first and second geographical locations is determined and a sum C of electrical pulses generated by an encoder coupled to the train wheel during travel of the train the distance L is determined. Based on the distance L and the sum C, a diameter or radius of the wheel is determined.
