Also described are processes for producing a fermentation product, such as ethanol, from starch or cellulosic-containing material with the recombinant fermenting organisms.

Abstract: A medical endoscopy/stereo colposcopy instrument is configured to selectively take stereo colposcopy images of a patient's uterus and endoscopy images of the patient's bladder or uterus. Any of the images can be white light images or images for a selected narrow wavelength band or fluorescence images. The images can be displayed individually or as spatially registered composite images to highlight selected features of the imaged anatomy. A cup-shaped device can be positioned at the patient's cervix and provided with a light source and a fluorescence camera module to monitor changes in fluorescence in response to a photoactivated substance.

Abstract: A compact, hand-held, robotic assisted endoscopic system configured to derive the position and/or orientation CamPose of a distal part of a single-use portion relative to coordinates HandPose of a reusable portion of an endoscope and display juxtaposed images of an object such a patient's organ being diagnosed or treated in a medical procedure with the endoscope and the distal part of the endoscope, and to provide guidance to the system user with display of images such as prior images of the object, standardized images of the object of tutorial images related to the medical procedure.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a multiple-choice-question based quiz platform facilitating the generation, development, delivery, and management of educational tests with interactive participation by students in terms of visual and audio guidance. The system utilizes 3D virtual sound spatialization and the movement and orientation of a mobile computing device to enhance the learning experience of users. Each quiz question and answer choice is associated with a certain orientation of the mobile device and a 3D virtual sound of a certain direction. By completing quizzes in this immersive 3D virtual sound environment, the user enhances his or her learning experience by making learning fun, and enhances his or her memory and retention of the learning content.

Abstract: A method and system for switching short code telephone calls based on origination time and service area provides a reusable set of short codes for call switching in conjunction with radio promotions and other short-term uses. A database-managed switching system manages the use of the short-code identifier so that the identifier is switched to a particular exchange in conformity with a time period for which the switching is established. In addition, the service area of the originating station can determine the switching path, so that the same identifier can be used simultaneously in multiple geographical regions.
