Abstract: The present invention provides a registration kiosk for use in managing individual healthcare services and information. The electronic registration kiosk provides access control to healthcare information stored on medical smart cards by including biometric authentication, includes a high definition camera for capturing images, and provides a large interactive touch screen. The electronic registration kiosk comes in a variety of different models including different floor kiosks, and a wall-mountable kiosk. Individuals can access a registration kiosk to apply for a medical smart card, print medical directive forms, and/or request prescription refills and receive confirmation via, text or email when the prescription is ready.

The electronic kiosk provides access control to healthcare information stored on medical smart cards by including biometric authentication, a high definition camera for capturing images, and an interactive touch screen. A central client-server configuration is provided where a plurality of electronic kiosks are connected to an application server, via a network. Individuals may access the electronic kiosk to request prescription refills and receive confirmation via, text or email when the prescription is ready.
