  • Patent number: 6083114
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting golf balls comprising a collection assembly having a canopy and a collection net selectively movable between an open position and a collapsed position. In design, the canopy is formed of a durable material having an outer radial portion engaging the distal ends of a plurality of support ribs. Similarly, the collection net has an outer radial portion engaging the distal ends of said support ribs such that the collection net is generally suspended in relation to an interior surface of the canopy. The collection net is preferably formed of a sufficiently durable material capable of absorbing the impact of at least one projectile (e.g., golf ball) and distributing the impact force of the projectile through at least a section of the body of the collection net. An elongated shaft supportably engages the plurality of support ribs, thereby supporting the collection assembly.

  • Patent number: 4502370
Abstract: Linear sections (101) of a chimney assembly (100) each include concentric outer, intermediate and inner sleeves (102, 104, 106). The inner sleeve (106) is interconnected at its lower portion (140) to the intermediate sleeve (104) through spaced apart U-shaped clips (142), while the upper portion of the inner sleeve (106) is allowed to float. The inner sleeve (106) is thus spaced apart from the intermediate sleeve (104) with an insulative air gap (136) therebetween. The air gap (136) and the particular connective arrangement of the inner sleeve (106) to the intermediate sleeve (104) allows for both linear and radial thermal expansion of the inner sleeve (106) caused by high temperature waste flue gases, and also facilitates engagement of adjoining linear sections (101).

  • Patent number: 4396155
Abstract: A shower head comprising a first part adapted to be connected to a source of water and a second part mounted on the first part for pivotal movement about a transverse axis. The second part has an opening adapted to be aligned with an opening in the first part. The opening in the second part has a venturi-shaped portion. A third part is telescoped over and surrounds the second part and defines a pressure chamber into which water is directed from the venturi. The third part has a plurality of openings therein and a passage extends from the restricted portion of the venturi to the exterior for attachment to a fluid dispenser.

  • Patent number: 4295612
Abstract: A shower apparatus comprising a shower head which is to be adapted to be connected to a source of water, means in the head operable by the flow of water to produce a vacuum, a housing having a plurality of reservoirs for containing diverse liquids such as shampoo, body oil and the like, a line extending from the vacuum producing means to the housing, first valve means in the housing for selectively connecting one of the reservoirs, a second valve means in the housing operable to isolate a portion of the liquid from the selected reservoir and thereafter provide communication to the line so that the predetermined quantity of liquid may be drawn by suction to the shower head where it is mixed with the water flowing out of the shower head.
