  • Patent number: 6729051
Abstract: An attachment for a front end loader that provides a method and apparatus for ripping solid ground that includes a hollow tube mounted between the arms of a front end loader directly behind the bucket. The hollow tube is slidably mounted on a solid shaft. Closely machined bushings are welded and braced on support brackets on the inside bottom surface of the arms of the loader. These closely machined bushings are adapted to receive the shaft which extends from the ends of the hollow tube. Ripper brackets are welded to the exterior surface of the hollow tube. On the end of each ripper bracket are mounted ripper teeth in a manner such that the pointed ends of the teeth are pointing towards the rear of the front end loader. Connecting rods are attached to both the hollow tube and the loader bucket. When the bucket is tilted toward the operator the hollow tube rotates downward to a ripping position.

  • Patent number: 5185605
Abstract: A dive profile recorder for monitoring conditions encountered by a diver under water includes a plurality of transducers to be carried by a diver for generating electrical signals representative of the conditions encountered by the diver. Encoding circuitry electrically connected to the transducers encodes the electrical signals to form a serial data stream and a transmitter electrically connected to the encoding circuitry transmits the serial data stream through the water. A receiver remote from the diver receives the transmitted serial data stream and decoding circuitry electrically connected to the receiver decodes the serial data stream to electrical signals representative of the conditions encountered by the diver. A display electrically connected to the decoding circuitry receives the electrical signals and displays human-perceptible indicia of the conditions encountered by the diver in response to the received electrical signals.

  • Patent number: 4195619
Abstract: A heat exchange unit is carried on the back of a free swimming diver and includes small tanks of propane and oxygen and a mixing chamber into which the two gases are fed and mixed. The gaseous mixture is then fed through a burner nozzle and burned to heat the atmosphere in a heat exchange chamber. The chamber includes a first coil therethrough in which air from the main oxygen tank is circulated and heated on its way to the diver's mask. A second coil through the heat exchange chamber carries water or other heating fluid from the diver's suit which is heated and returned.
