  • Patent number: 11942653
Abstract: A battery housing has a plurality of housing sidewalls defining an enclosure, where a first housing sidewall of the plurality of housing sidewalls defines a plurality of openings cumulatively defining a valve opening. The housing defines a valve coupling structure around the valve opening.

  • Publication number: 20220341502
Abstract: A rupture disk system has a housing defining a central axis, a first axial end defining an axial opening and a second axial end. An airflow pathway extends from the first axial end facing towards the second axial end. A sealing surface is defined about the airflow pathway towards the first axial end. A shield extends across the airflow pathway on the second axial end. Radial openings are defined around the central axis, where the radial openings are positioned between the first and the second axial ends, such that the airflow pathway extends from the axial opening to the radial openings. A rupture disk is coupled to the housing across the airflow pathway. The rupture disk has a polymeric layer. The rupture disk has an unweakened region having a first thickness and a weakened region having a second thickness. A threshold rupture pressure is defined by the weakened region.

  • Patent number: 11420816
Abstract: The present technology relates to an air reservoir for an enclosure where, upon submersion in water, the pressure differential between the water and the enclosure displaces air from the air reservoir into the enclosure to reduce the pressure differential.

  • Publication number: 20220112962
Abstract: The technology disclosed herein relates to, at least in part, an enclosure vent assembly. A vent body defines a vent cavity, a first axial end, a second axial end, circumferential threads positioned towards the second axial end, and a sealing surface. The sealing surface surrounds the vent cavity and faces the second axial end. A vent is disposed in the vent body, wherein the vent extends across the vent cavity. A vent mount defines a mount opening, mating threads configured to releasably engage the circumferential threads, a facing surface about the mount opening configured to oppose the sealing surface, and a fastening feature. The fastening feature is configured to rotatably fix the vent mount to a housing.

  • Publication number: 20150176860
Abstract: An air warmer has a housing whereinto is positioned a noise reduction mechanism having a casing that encases a sound reducing structure having a maze like cavity. An axial fan is positioned within the sound reducing structure. In operation, air is drawn into the sound reducing structure by the fan along a first tortuous passage. The air is directed by the fan through another tortuous passage to an air outlet to inflate a convective blanket with an air hose connected to the air outlet. The configuration of the maze like cavity and the material from which the nosie reducing structure is formed reduce the noise generated by the fan. A heater is provided proximate to the air outlet to heat the output air. A filter is provided at the air inlet to filter the ambient air drawn into the warmer.

  • Publication number: 20070276431
Abstract: A surgical instrument including a male portion and a female portion. The male portion is opposably coupled to the female portion. Both the male portion and the female portion include a working end, a handle end, and a box hinge portion between the handle end and the working end. Both the male portion and the female portion include a first ramp between the box hinge portion and the working end. Also, both the male portion and the female portion include a second ramp between the box hinge portion and the handle end. An opening is formed by the male and female portions near the working end when the surgical instrument is in a closed position.
