  • Publication number: 20240139516
Abstract: A system includes memory, and processing circuitry coupled to the memory, the processing circuitry configured to: determine at least one of: a cross-electrical signal measurement at a first electrode on a first lead implanted within a tongue of the patient based on a stimulation signal between a second electrode on the first lead or a second lead implanted within the tongue of the patient and a third electrode, or a strain measurement of at least one of the first lead or the second lead. The processing circuitry is configured to determine movement of the tongue based on at least one of the cross-electrical signal measurement or the strain measurement, and generate information indicative of the movement of the tongue.

  • Publication number: 20090071045
Abstract: A uniquely shaped plate may be transmitted through a card printer designed to print on only a card having a standard size and shape. The plate includes a laminate including a card having a sheet of backing material affixed thereto, preferably by an easy release adhesive. For example, the card may have a backing, such as release paper. If the plate is a flexible material, the backing material is a rigid sheet. The standard card is kiss cut through its thickness to form segments having contours for making said unique shape. However, the kiss cut does not cut the sheet of backing material, which continues to hold the segments in place. Therefore, the card retains its standard size and shape so that it may be sent through the card printer with the segments in place. Then, the segments are separated.

  • Patent number: 6804518
Abstract: In a network supporting concurrent services, mobile terminated call delivery processing is simplified by an apparatus and method for forcing a Mobile Station (MS) (118) to register with a new Mobile Switching Center (MSC) (110) after a hard handoff has occurred. The mobile station registers with the new MSC when the mobile station is in an active data call, but not in an active voice call. The method momentarily sends the data session to dormant mode while the mobile station performs location updating. The method utilizes a new information element in a Clear Command message that allows the MSC to indicate to the Base Station Controller (112) that the period a data session must remain dormant should be very brief. This brief period of time limits the impact on the MS user.
