  • Patent number: 10738467
Abstract: L-shaped bracket for securing insulation relative to a mullion or transom includes a side plate which defines a first major side of the L-shaped bracket and a flange which defines a second major side of the L-shaped bracket. The side plate defines at least one aperture configured to receive a fastener so as to facilitate attachment of the side plate to a side surface of the mullion or transom. A first receiving slot is disposed in the side plate and configured to receive a clip leg of a clip. The first receiving slot can be defined by a slot plate supported in spaced relation to a surface of the side plate. The clip is configured to engage the insulation.

  • Patent number: 10724233
Abstract: A bracket for securing insulation and/or a stiffener relative to a mullion or transom having a given width. The bracket includes a pair of legs extending from a bridge to define a receiving channel having a width equal to or smaller than the given width. The bracket can be attached to the mullion with friction. At least one of the legs defines a first receiving slot configured to receive a clip leg of a respective clip configured to engage the insulation, and an optional second receiving slot configured to receive a face of the stiffener. In an alternative configuration, the bracket can be attached to a side of the mullion via an existing anchor attachment near the floor line so that the anchor attachment does not interfere with the bracket.

  • Patent number: 10695599
Abstract: A firestop system for fire stopping a bus duct that passes through an opening in a marine deck or a marine bulkhead includes a boot seal wrapped around the bus duct housing. The boot seal has a top end attached to the bus duct, and a bottom end attached to the division. The boot seal is made of flexible material to allow for movement of the bus duct relative to the division due to vibration. The boot seal may be made of a thermal barrier wrap or other high-temperature insulating mat materials to allow heat generated under normal condition to escape while providing firestopping and temperature resistance under fire exposure conditions. The firestop system may also have a gasket positioned between the bus duct and the boot seal to accommodate irregularities in the outside surface of the bus duct housing.

  • Patent number: 10633858
Abstract: Assembling a multi-story building using a prefabricating a curtain wall assembly (CWA) involves assembling a structural frame and preparing the frame to receive a thermal insulation panel in a spandrel area. A thermal insulation panel is then supported in the spandrel area using a flange plate of a plurality of brackets that are secured to the frame. The thermal insulation panel is engaged or secured using one or more clips which retain the panel to the frame. The process continues by attaching the CWA which has been prefabricated to a floor slab on the building to form a portion of the building curtain wall.
