  • Publication number: 20250253716
Abstract: An energy harvesting electronic device that includes an energy storage device and a processor is provided. The processor is configured to determine that the electronic device has a first message to transmit to another electronic device. The processor determines that the device has enough energy required for transmitting the first message and a first amount of time required for the energy storage device to store an amount of energy required for receiving a second message after transmitting the message. The processor includes a value in the first message that is at least equal to the first amount of time when the first amount of time is greater than zero. The processor includes an indication in the first message that the electronic device has enough energy required for receiving the second message when the first amount of time is zero. The processor transmits the first message to the other electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20250254622
Abstract: An energy harvesting electronic device that includes a transmitter, a receiver, an energy storage device and a processor is provided. The processor is configured to determine that the energy stored in the energy storage is below a first threshold indicating the amount of energy required for receiving a message. The processor determines a first amount of time required for the stored energy to exceed the first threshold. The processor determines a second amount of time required for the stored energy to exceed a second threshold indicating the energy required for transmitting a message. The processor disables the receiver and transmitter, starts a first timer that expires after the first amount of time; start a second timer that expires after the second amount of time, and enables the receiver and keep the transmitter disabled after an expiration of the first timer expires and prior to an expiration of the second timer.

  • Patent number: 12357177
Abstract: A method includes receiving location data of a monitoring device when carried by a user and receiving motion data of the monitoring device. The motion data is associated with a time of occurrence and the location data. The method includes processing the received motion data to identify a group of the motion data having a substantially common characteristic and processing the location data for the group of the motion data. The group of motion data by way of processing the location data provides an activity identifier. The motion data includes metric data that identifies characteristics of the motion data. The method includes transferring the activity identifier and the characteristics of the motion data to a screen of a device for display. The activity identifier being a graphical user interface that receives an input for rendering more or less of the characteristics of the motion data.

  • Publication number: 20250227444
Abstract: An energy harvesting electronic device includes an energy storage device and a processor that is configured to receive a first message from another electronic device requesting the transmission of a first data object and determine a first amount of energy required for transmitting the first data object and a second amount of energy required for receiving a second message from the other electronic device. After determining that the amount of stored energy is sufficient for transmitting the first data object, the processor determines, based on the second amount of energy, whether the remaining amount of energy after transmitting the first object is sufficient for receiving the second message, sets an indicator to indicate whether or not the remaining amount of energy stored in the energy storage device after transmitting the first object is sufficient, and transmits the first data object and the indicator to the other electronic device.

  • Publication number: 20250203471
Abstract: A method for a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes the UE maintaining a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection with a first base station (BS) of a first network while receiving transmissions from a BS of a second network during at least one time specified in a switch gap configuration. The UE receives an RRC reconfiguration message from the first BS that includes a first command and a second command. The first command instructs the UE to begin a handover procedure from the first BS to a second BS of the first network. The second command controls usage of the switch gap configuration by the UE. The UE initiates the handover procedure according to the first command. The UE may suspend reception of transmissions from the BS of the second network following completion of the handover procedure based on the second command.

  • Publication number: 20250112746
Abstract: An energy harvesting transmitting wireless terminal for wirelessly communicating with a receiving wireless terminal is provided. The wireless terminal includes at least one processor that is configured to select a first Sidelink Position Reference Signal (SL-PRS) configuration from several SL-PRS configurations and determine whether the power required for transmitting the SL-PRS using the selected SL-PRS configuration satisfies a minimum receiving power threshold of the receiving wireless terminal. When the power does not satisfy the minimum receiving power threshold, the processor selects another SL-PRS configuration and repeats the determining and selecting until the power required for transmitting the SL-PRS using the selected SL-PRS configuration satisfies the minimum receiving power threshold or until the last SL-PRS configuration is not selected.
