  • Publication number: 20150201611
Abstract: The invention is a pour-on antiparasitic formulation having superior water resistant properties. The pour-on formulation utilizes one or more polymers (water insoluble with or without water soluble) in the range of about 5 to about 40% w/w, one or more solvents in the range of about 50 to about 94% w/w, with or without additive (e.g., isopropanol or ethanol) in the range of about 5 to about 30% w/w, and optionally a plasticizer in the range of about 0.5 to about 25% w/w. The pour-on antiparasitic formulation features limited spreading when applied to animals (cattle, sheep, dogs and the like). The pour-on antiparasitic formulation further partially evaporates, leaving a water resistant polymer matrix that diffuses at least one active ingredient to the animal's skin.

  • Patent number: 8561712
Abstract: An apparatus for extinguishing fires in stoves used in food preparation. This invention detects a grease fire on the stovetop by detecting an elevated temperature associated with a grease fire and releases a fire suppression agent into the burning pan. A trigger mechanism retracts a restraining pin releasing the lever and cover. A packet of dry fire suppression agent with a foil separator falls using gravity. The foil separator is folded in a manner that divides the fire suppression agent into smaller portions.

  • Publication number: 20130225516
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein is directed to stable, highly-effective topical formulations comprising permethrin, fipronil and a solvent system that is sufficient to solubilize these two active ingredients and limit degradation of fipronil to its sulfone, and their uses in topical applications on animals and the environment. Useful formulations comprise from about 30% to about 55% (w/w) permethrin and about 2 to 15% (w/w) fipronil and a solvent system that comprises N-methylpyrrolidone and a glycol, glycol ether, glycol ester, fatty acid ester or neutral oil, wherein the N-methylpyrrolidone and glycol, glycol ether, glycol ester, fatty acid ester or neutral oil are present in a weight:weight ratio of from about 1:2.0 to about 1:3.5, glycol, glycol ether, glycol ester, fatty acid ester or neutral oil to n-methylpyrrolidone. These two actives when combined in the described amounts have been found to have unexpected enhanced repellent activity against stable fly.

  • Publication number: 20050015386
Abstract: A clearinghouse maintains a database of metadata about CAD and other product related data across disparate and dispersed databases. The various databases may be located behind corporate firewalls. A CAD plug-in application or standalone application may communicate with the clearinghouse using an easily transportable protocol such as HTTP and XML protocols to sort, browse, and request data from the disparate and dispersed databases. The clearinghouse may retrieve the requested data, translate the data if necessary, and send the requested data to the user. The user may also publish or otherwise notify the clearinghouse of data that is able to be shared.

  • Patent number: 6071172
Abstract: An adjustable turkey call having an adjustment base, a sound block positioned on the adjustment base, and a call box having a striker plate. The call box forms a sound chamber. The call box is slidably disposed on the adjustment base such that the sound chamber can be selectively positioned relative to the sound block. The call box is preferably provided with a duct on a front end for assisting sound in emanating from the sound chamber. Slots are preferably positioned along opposite sides of the adjustment base. Side walls of the call box are preferably provided with inward projections which are sized and positioned to slidably engage the slots on the adjustment base. Indicia can be provided on the call box and the adjustment base to provide position markers for selectively positioning the sound chamber relative to the sound block.
