    Abstract: A conductive cable having an optic fiber arranged longitudinally along the cable. The optic fiber can be used as a dynamic temperature sensor that provides real time data regarding the temperature of the cable. This data can be used so to increase the efficient use of the conductive cable. Furthermore, this data can be used to determine whether the proper size of cable is being used or to select new cables for existing circuits.
