    Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling and monitoring flow of a desired fluid are disclosed. An in vitro pulsatile flow system has a fluid reservoir that contains the desired fluid, which simulates a physiologic fluid, such as cerebrospinal fluid. A pump transports the desired fluid from the fluid reservoir to a test material to permit monitoring of adhesion of cells and tissue to the test material.
