Abstract: The present invention provides an inflation valve assembly for an inflatable camping assembly which may comprise an awning, a tent or an inflatable camping accessory (mattress, chair, furniture etc.). The inflation valve assembly comprises an inflation valve (20) comprising an inlet (22) and an outlet (24). In order to inflate the camping assembly, an air source (e.g. pump) is connected to the inlet (22) to introduce air through the outlet (24) into a chamber within the camping assembly. The valve member comprises a seal member (26) which seals the air pathway between the inlet (22) and the outlet (24) to retain the air pressure within the chamber. However, the seal member (26) is movable from this closed position to an open position whilst the air source is connected to the inlet (22) and/or to allow the chamber to be deflated. The present invention provides a valve key (60) which allows the authorised movement of the seal member (26) from the closed position to the open position.

The donor valve is arranged to inflate a camping accessory (20, 22, 24) by donating a volume of air from the air poles to the camping accessory. In this way, the camping accessory can be inflated very quickly and the removal of the air does not significantly impact the structural stability of the awning. This provides a readily available and accessible air source.
