  • Patent number: 12199738
Abstract: Conventionally, software-based services that utilize satellites are manually and painstakingly configured, provisioned, activated, and calibrated, because the complexity and variability of satellite links prevent automated and scalable service orchestration. Accordingly, systems and processes are disclosed for automated and scalable orchestration of services that utilize satellite links. In response to a service request, comprising a service definition for an end-to-end service, parameter(s) of a satellite link that satisfies the service definition may be calculated. These parameter(s) may be used to select a configuration for a satellite-network service chain, comprising a plurality of virtual network functions, from a service catalog. The satellite-network service chain may then be instantiated, within a cloud infrastructure, using the selected configuration.

  • Patent number: 11394928
Abstract: A device for inserting and securing a video doorbell system inside a metal container that is securely fitted along the side of a door and can only be opened when door is opened. The device comprises a metal container measured to hold specified video doorbell systems inside WITH an opening that exposes the camera and doorbell button ONLY (FIG. 1). The metal container is attached to two u-shaped thin but durable metal hooks that snap together and cling to the side of a door snugly. The device also has cylinder tubes at the ends of each hook to decrease the ability to pull the device away from the door (anti-theft). The device also avoids property damage from permanent mounting using screws.

  • Patent number: 6961895
Abstract: A method and apparatus for synchronizing audio data to text data in which the text is manually or automatically divided into an arbitrary number of sections and a text section is selected for display and presented to a narrator for audio input. A human narrator reads the displayed selected section of text into a computer to form an audio data portion for the selected section that is linked to the text by entering synchronization marks to the computer. The sections of text may be selected for reading and audio input in any order and by any number of narrators. Each recorded audio portion is converted to an audio data file and the audio data files are re-sequenced to conform to the original order of the text based on a playback control file. A plurality of narrators may contribute audio data from separate workstations of a network, or workstations which are connected to a central server over a communications network, such as the Internet.
