  • Patent number: 10353091
Abstract: Visually enhancing a geological feature in 3D seismic survey data may include selecting a first seismic trace from a 3D seismic survey dataset. Said first seismic trace is subdivided into a plurality of identified characteristic segments. At least one first analytical model function is generated for each of said plurality of identified characteristic segments. At least one adapted wavelet from an existing dictionary is utilized. A matching characteristic is determined between said first seismic trace and said at least one first analytical model function. Said at least one first analytical model function is optimized with respect to said matching characteristic. Both determining a matching characteristic, and optimizing said at least one first analytical model function, are repeated until a predetermined condition is met. A model dataset is generated from said optimized at least one first analytical model function for at least part of said first seismic trace for visual representation.

  • Publication number: 20160146959
Abstract: A method is presented for visually enhancing at least one geological feature in 3D seismic survey data, comprising the steps of: (a) selecting at least one first seismic trace from a 3D seismic survey data set; (b) subdividing said at least one first seismic trace into a plurality of identified characteristic segments; (c) generating at least one first analytical model function for each of said plurality of identified characteristic segments, utilizing at least one adapted wavelet from an existing dictionary; (d) determining a matching characteristic between said at least one first seismic trace and said at least one first analytical model function; (e) optimising said at least one first analytical model function with respect to said matching characteristic; (f) repeating steps (d) and (e) until a predetermined condition is met, and (g) generating a model dataset from said optimised at least one first analytical model function for at least part of said at least one first seismic trace for visual representa

  • Patent number: 9149163
Abstract: A toilet, wherein: the toilet has an aperture (110), which, in use, would be located in an upper part of the toilet; the toilet comprising or adapted to receive a dispensing means arranged beneath the aperture for dispensing a tube (12) of collection bag material in a downward direction; wherein the toilet is adapted such that, in operation, while the tube is moved downward, the toilet creates a divide in the tube by pressing the sides of the tube together.

  • Patent number: 6472203
Abstract: A combination air sampling cassette and nutrient media dish having base, orifice plate, and nutrient media dish assembly for the collection of airborne particles. The orifice plate includes a plurality of holes that brings the nutrient media dish into fluid communication with the ambient air. A pump is connected to the air outlet in the base to pull air into the orifice plate through the holes, over the culture media, and out through the air outlet. As the air passes through the holes in the orifice plate it is accelerated and results in the selected impaction of particles in the culture media. A cover fits over the assembly to protect the culture media prior to and after sampling.

  • Patent number: 5424501
Abstract: A deceleration sensor switch (10) comprises a base (12) and a mass (60) pivotable from an unactuated position to an actuated position when the mass is subjected to deceleration of at least a predetermined magnitude. A first electrically conductive portion (70) is connected to a first electrical terminal (46) mounted on the base (12). A support structure (40) supports the mass (60) on the base (12) to pivot from the unactuated position to the actuated position. The support structure (40) comprises a second electrical terminal (42) mounted on the base (12) and a second electrically conductive portion (50) interconnecting the second electrical terminal (42) and the mass (60). The second electrically conductive portion (50) comprises a spring portion (52) which deflects into electrical contact with the first electrically conductive portion (70) to electrically connect the first and second electrical terminals (46, 42) when the mass (60) pivots to the actuated position.

  • Patent number: 5373126
Abstract: A deceleration sensor switch comprises a base (12d) including a plate portion (15d) and a rod portion (18d) having a longitudinal central axis (99d). In one embodiment (FIGS. 11-15), a rectangular mass (20d) is mounted on the rod portion. The mass is spaced apart from the plate portion at a distance which prevents rotation of the mass about the axis of the rod portion. When the mass moves from an unactuated position to an actuated position, the mass moves away from a releasable tab portion (42d) of a contact (40d) to allow a contact portion (52d) of the contact to move into engagement with an electrical terminal (34d). The contact portion is spaced apart a predetermined distance (D) from the terminal when the mass is in the unactuated position.

  • Patent number: 5306883
Abstract: A deceleration sensor switch comprises a base including a plate portion, a pedestal portion projecting from the plate portion, and a rod portion spaced from the plate portion and projecting from the pedestal portion. The plate, pedestal, and rod portions comprise a single continuous piece of plastic molded material. A mass is mounted on the rod portion and is movable relative to the rod portion between an unactuated position and an actuated position. The mass moves from the unactuated position to the actuated position when the mass is subjected to deceleration of a predetermined magnitude. A helical coil spring provides a restoring force which acts on the mass to move the mass relative to the rod portion from the actuated position back to the unactuated position after the mass has moved to the actuated position. An adjustable calibration screw is disposed at one end of the rod portion. The calibration screw is adjusted to adjust the restoring force of the helical coil spring acting on the mass.
