Publication number: 20100305939Abstract: Described are field of training devices and methods to simulate the use of interpreters and spontaneous verbal exchanges between participants who speak different languages. More particularly, the devices and methods simulate an environment wherein participants are communicating through a third-party interpreter, which simulates the use of an interpreter. Some embodiments of the devices include audio components that are configured in a manner that distorts direct verbal communication between two parties of a trilateral verbal exchange. Although the direct verbal communication is distorted, tonality and tempo of the communication can still be preserved. Publication number: 20090164234Abstract: A livestock tracking system includes the collection of animal data upon loading of the livestock for transport and the collection of similar data upon unloading, thereby monitoring and tracking same. Livestock is transported from a grouped plurality to individual animals capable of being weighed and then put into transport containers. Each transport container is readily identifiable throughout the process such that upon the unloading of the livestock the information pertaining to the livestock within each container can be compared to data collected upon loading and therefore traced. While the most important data is weight, other measurements may be utilized. A method incorporating this system is also disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2009Publication date: June 25, 2009Inventors: Steven C. Sinn, James Pyle, Dennis R. Strickland, Stanley E. Publication number: 20070169713Abstract: A livestock unloading system is provided including a livestock storage module including a partition system, a lifting device, and a conveyor positioning system. The lifting device includes a module engaging member and a module securing mechanism operatively associated therewith such that activation of the module securing mechanism causes the module engaging member to engage with a portion of the livestock storage module. The conveyor positioning system positions a livestock storage module in proximity to an unloader by hoisting the section of conveyor and livestock storage module situated thereon. A partition system for a livestock storage module section is further provided including a partition extending the general height of the module section. A linkage operatively couples a module section door with the partition, such that opening of the door causes movement of the partition.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2006Publication date: July 26, 2007Inventors: Steven Sinn, Voris Feather, James Pyle, Dennis Strickland
