  • Patent number: 11905472
Abstract: A system and process for generating, on-site, a sustained C6+C7 aromatic rich solvent stream for tar solvation within the olefin plant employing a two-fuel oil tower system receiving a hydrocarbon feed from a quench water separator drum, where the two-fuel oil tower system is configured to make a sufficient solvent stream containing C6+C7 aromatic rich hydrocarbons that is recycled and mixed with quench water going to the quench water separator drum to assist in removing tar molecules out of the quench water.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 26, 2022
Date of Patent: February 20, 2024
Assignee: KELLOGG BROWN & ROOT LLC

  • Publication number: 20220267680
Abstract: The process can include transferring heat from a light product in a first heat exchange stage to produce a cooled product and a first medium pressure steam and separating a steam cracker quench oil therefrom. Heat can be transferred from the steam cracker quench oil in a second heat exchange stage to produce a first cooled quench oil and a second medium pressure steam. Heat can be transferred from at least a portion of the first cooled quench oil in a third heat exchange stage to produce a second cooled quench oil and low pressure steam. A total heat duty generated in the first heat exchange stage, the second heat exchange stage, and the third heat exchange stage can be equal to QT1 and a heat duty generated in the first heat exchange stage and the second heat exchange stage can be ?0.5QT1 joules/sec.

  • Publication number: 20170065462
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for folding absorbent articles and placing such folded absorbent articles into stacker receptacles. The absorbent articles may be in the form of diaper pants that are advanced through a folding apparatus and subsequently advanced to a stacker apparatus having stacker receptacles before being packaged. During the folding process, portions of the diaper pants may be subjected to forces to help maintain relatively well defined fold lines in the diaper pants. The relatively well defined fold lines of the folded diaper pants are oriented to promote a relatively smooth transfer from the folding apparatus to the stacker receptacles.

  • Patent number: 9266129
Abstract: A nozzle and sprayer system for aerosolizing liquid for its even application to foliage. The frustoconical nozzle housing body defines a longitudinal axis, a wall, a proximal portion, and a distal portion, the housing wall at the distal portion being thicker than the housing wall at the proximal portion, and an air chamber defined by the housing wall of the proximal portion. The housing also defines a plurality of tapered air conduits that are spirally and radially arranged about the longitudinal axis that create a vortex in expelled air. The housing also defines a liquid conduit defining a bend. The outlets of the plurality of air conduits are radially arranged about the outlet of the liquid conduit, such that fluid ejected from the outlet of the liquid conduit into the vortex is sheared to create a fog or mist of small liquid particles suspended in air.

  • Publication number: 20120111961
Abstract: A fogging grove sprayer has a nozzle enclosing housing having at least one outlet therefrom and encloses a plurality of air sheer nozzles using compressed air to atomize a spray solution which is dispensed into the housing. Each air sheer nozzle has a liquid under pressure and high pressure air to generate a fog in the housing. A high velocity, high volume fan forces air into the housing and disperses the spray from the nozzles in the housing out the housing outlets.

  • Publication number: 20120024749
Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for treating the effluent from a hydrocarbon pyrolysis unit employing a small primary fractionator. The method comprises cooling the effluent from a furnace through a first heat exchanger, a vapor-liquid separator, and a second heat exchanger before it is passed to a fractionator for further processing. These heat exchangers may also be utilized to heat a utility fluid as part of the cooling process. Further, one or more generators and a third heat exchanger may also be used to assist in heat recovery for the process.
