Publication number: 20220252647Abstract: A computing device includes a port to allow the computing device to connect to a network, and one or more processors, the one or more processors configured to execute code to cause the one or more processors to determine that a new waveform has been added to a repository connected to the computing device, perform a set of measurements on the new waveform, attach results from the measurements to the new waveform as metadata, and store the new waveform and attached metadata to the repository. A method of managing waveform data includes determining that a new waveform has been added to a repository, performing a set of measurements on the new waveform, attaching results from the measurements to the new waveform as metadata, and storing the new waveform and attached metadata to the repository.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 4, 2022Publication date: August 11, 2022Applicant: Initial State Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Frederick B. Publication number: 20090196519Abstract: Error diffusion is performed using a Floyd-Steinberg-like approach. A integer-representation of a running error is compressed by storing only its most significant bits and returning any remainder to the error diffusion processor. The running error is shifted to the right until only the desired number of significant bits remain, and this compressed error is stored. Any portion of the original running error that is lost due to the shifting is treated as a remainder and is returned to the error diffusion processor for use in calculating an adjusted current pixel value. The amount of the shift is retained in compressed form to keep track of the number of shifts needed to form a truncated running error from the compressed running error.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 30, 2008Publication date: August 6, 2009Applicant: LEXMARK INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: James R. Bailey, David A. Crutchfield, Shaun T. Love

Patent number: 5485882Abstract: The invention is a rigid, hollow core, low-density ball sealer designed to perform effectively in hostile well environments. It temporarily seals perforations inside cased wells at temperatures up to 400.degree. F. (204.degree. C.), at hydrostatic pressures up to 20,000 psi (137 Mpa), and at differential pressures across the perforations up to 1,500 psi. Ball densities may range from 0.80 to 1.3 gm/cc (or higher). It can withstand the degradation effects of solvents common to oil and gas wells during a workover. Nominal changes in ball density occur during a 24-hour period when exposed to a hostile well environment. The ball sealer is comprised of two pieces made of a high strength material that snap together to form a hollow-core sphere. If necessary, adjustments to ball density can occur subsequent to manufacturing of the ball pieces.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 1994Date of Patent: January 23, 1996Assignee: Exxon Production Research CompanyInventors: James R.
