  • Publication number: 20150257550
Abstract: Shelving units having an adjustable width. The shelving units here provide structural stability and simple adjustment of width to accommodate varying product sizes. The distance between the side walls of the shelving units can be adjustable in two manners. First, the distance is continuously adjustable from within a range established by slots located in the base portion of the side wall components. Second, a further range of shelving unit depth may be generated by changing the orientation of the side wall components. The side wall components of the shelving units may be formed in an L shape with one side longer than the other. By rotating the side walls, a new range of product widths may be accommodated by the shelving unit. The shelving units may also include a simple mechanism that can be used to advance products toward the front of the shelf.

  • Patent number: 8235226
Abstract: Apparatuses for the efficient and safe organization of product on shelves. The backstop assemblies are capable of being utilized in a wide variety of shelving units. Because the backstop puller engages the front of the backstop, the backstop assemblies are able to be employed in shelves of various depths and allow for the customer to draw product toward the front of the shelving unit efficiently.

  • Patent number: 8066128
Abstract: Apparatuses for the efficient and safe organization of product on shelves. The present invention encompasses shelving allocation units that are adjustable in a longitudinal direction to accommodate varying shelf depths. The present invention also provides for shelving allocation units that are adjustable in both the longitudinal direction, but also along an orthogonal axis. By being adjustable along an orthogonal axis, the shelving allocation units of the present invention may be adapted to accommodate various sizes of product. The present invention also includes novel backstop assemblies that may be adapted for use in shelves of various dimensions.

  • Patent number: 5893467
Abstract: An apparatus for managing products displayed on pegs is provided. A puller member having an elongated body substantially as long as the peg on which is installed also has a downturned front gripping portion and a rear downward extending backstop. A detachable stabilizer portion may additionally be provided on the top of the elongated body. The stabilizer rests on a peg support member to stabilize the puller member against rotation. The backstop has an aperture therein for slidably receiving a peg. A groove can be provided on a lower surface of the elongated body along with an indentation near the downturned front portion wherein a peg head may seat when there are no products remaining on the peg. The puller member can also have a free-floating backplate disposed on the peg between the backstop and the products. As the backstop advances the free-floating plate and products forwards the free-floating plate remains behind the products when the puller is pushed back.

  • Patent number: 5469976
Abstract: A shelf allocation and management system for allocating shelf space among rows of products and for moving the rows of products towards the front of the shelf is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of adjacent side rail assemblies positioned along the shelf extending from front to back. Each side rail assembly includes a generally flat base rail and a rigid divider attached to and extended away from the base rail, wherein at least one row of products may be positioned between the dividers of adjacent side rail assemblies. An unbiased backstop assembly is positioned between dividers of adjacent side rail assemblies, wherein the backstop assembly is movable between the front and back of the shelf and is adapted to advance at least one row of products toward the front of the shelf. A rigid puller member positioned between the dividers of adjacent side rail assemblies is associated with the backstop assembly.
