Abstract: A cooking apparatus which includes a shell assembly having a cover assembly that has two cover parts that are pivotally connected to each other with one of the two pivotally connected to a shell body of the cooking apparatus such that the cover parts can be adjusted from a cooking pot cover position to a cooking pot access position where the cover parts are collapsed with opposing pot cover faces arranged in an over center location. The shell body includes a recessed section which is filled in with a heating device support structure as in a corner filling support structure that is frictionally mounted on a common base as that of the shell. A rectangular shaped cooking apparatus includes a corner filled in with the heating support tower and a spigot access cover at another corner along a common side as the support structure.

Abstract: A prosthetic limb (10) for a below-the-elbow amputee is constructed having a removable effector (16) removably mounted in a mount (18) having semicircular bands (20) set by "hand lapped" construction in sides of a body (12) near a closed end (22) thereof. The effector (16) is offset from the body (12) and is provided with supports (60, 62), each having a C-shaped slot (64, 66) for receiving a horizontally oriented bar, such as that on a chainsaw. A pair of semi-circular gripping members (68, 70) are pivotally mounted by pins (72, 74) near a closed end of the slots (64, 66) and are biased closed by a C-shaped leaf spring (90) disposed about an outer periphery of the members (68, 70).

Abstract: An access window for barbecue grills in which the access window is openable for acces to foods being cooked on the grill. The window includes a frame with a hinge associated therewith, the hinge being received by brackets on the grill hood. A handle is also provided for opening and closing the window.

Abstract: A prosthetic device for below-the-elbow amputees having a cuff, a stem, a housing, two hook-like fingers, an elastic band for holding the fingers together, and a brace. The fingers are pivotally mounted on a housing that is secured to the amputee's upper arm with the brace. The stem, which also contains a cam, is rotationally mounted within the housing and is secured to the cuff, which fits over the amputee's stump. By rotating the cammed stem between the fingers with the lower arm, the amputee can open and close the fingers.

Abstract: A barbecue grill is disclosed having a fire box and a hood connected thereto, the fire box being inwardly tapered toward the bottom thereof and the hood being inwardly tapered toward the top thereof for reducing the overall material required for the grill while maintaining the same cooking area. The fire box includes integral seating portions for the burner, the burner includes receiving portions for the seating portions, and the fire box also includes an integral gas collecting dam around the ignitor port.
