  • Publication number: 20140067480
Abstract: A new approach is proposed that contemplates systems and methods to facilitate enterprise-level context management, which is a construct used to manage access and changes to business entities at the enterprise level instead of application level, where the business entities are used by many legacy applications and the underlying data is stored across multiple systems of record of data. An enterprise context manager is a software layer that secures exclusive access to a collection of related, yet disparate applications and resources ahead of a coordinated multiphase commit. The enterprise context manager provides a complete view of a business entity by presenting various aspects of data of the business entity through a single, unified user interface. It commits changes made to the data managed by two or more legacy applications together or rolls the data back to a pre-commit status if all changes cannot be applied.

  • Patent number: 6360407
Abstract: A spring clip for releasably holding the door of a vehicle in an ajar position is provided. The spring clip is adapted to be removably attached to a vehicle body during the manufacturing process. The spring clip is comprised of a base member and a spring finger. The base member includes a pillar tab having a retainer that affixes the spring clip to the body of the vehicle. The door tab of the base member is adapted to slide into an opening in the door. The spring finger is coupled to a base opening that is defined by the base member. The spring finger extends in a cantilever fashion from the base opening into engagement with the vehicle door such that the door is held ajar.

  • Patent number: 6137660
Abstract: A magnetoresistive read/recording head for use in a fixed disk drive data storage device is formed by the steps of first, photolithographically depositing the head on one surface of a slider block, second, applying, a conductive film preferably of carbon or a silicon/carbon multi-layer film over the head and onto the block surface, and then milling the write tip portion of the head with a focused ion beam. The remaining conductive film is then removed in an oxygen plasma which chemically removes the remaining conductive film. The conductive layer is transparent to the focused ion beam and conducts electrostatic charge away from the head during the milling operation thus preventing electrostatic discharges from occurring which otherwise would damage the head.

  • Patent number: 5703577
Abstract: A self-erecting control device is provided with a base member and a bracket assembly attached to the base member for receiving a movable sign support member. The movable sign support member is vertically movable and rotatable with the bracket. That is, in one position the sign support member is stationary in an upright position and in a second position, the movable sign support member is rotatable into a storage position. A flexing device, such as a spring, is mounted to the movable sign support member and a sign wherein upon impact the sign device yields in response to the impact and the coil spring returns or self-erects the sign to its original upright position.

  • Patent number: 5178759
Abstract: A method for removing a liquid stripper composition from a slurry comprised of the liquid stripper composition and of photoresist film particles which were removed from a circuit board substrate by using the liquid stripper composition. The slurry flows over the inner surface of the porous wall of a drum under gravity to form a generally uniform layer on the inner surface of the drum. Liquid escapes from the slurry through the porous wall of the drum.

  • Patent number: 5148012
Abstract: The solar tracking device disclosed herein is for use on a solar energy collection apparatus and facilitates optimal performance by insuring that the collection apparatus is continuously aligned with the source of the greatest amount of solar flux. The device consists of three photoelectric sensors and a plurality of vanes, each of the photoelectric sensors being connected to a circuit which controls one of three small DC motors, with each DC motor being the controlling means to either increase, decrease, or maintain the speed of the main drive motor which rotates the solar energy collection apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5077875
Abstract: A metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) reactor vessel is provided for the growth of Group II-VI, Group III-V, or Group IV layers particularly for use in thin heterostructure devices. The reactor vessel includes a chamber having a top surface substantially parallel to a semiconductor substrate disposed within the chamber and an inlet through which a vapor stream is directed. The chamber further includes a plate having a plurality of apertures disposed therethrough and a block disposed adjacent to the plate, to increase the uniformity and decrease the turbulence of the vapor stream.

  • Patent number: 4309974
Abstract: An archery bow with a game finder attachment enables game shot with an arrow to be located over 1200 feet from the point of shot yet does not effect the flight of the arrow at reasonable distances. In the preferred embodiment the attachment includes an elongated tubular canister which is easily mounted to the bow and disposable prepackaged string, wound in a manner that causes the inner wound end of the string to be fed first and the outwardly wound string last so as to substantially reduce the amount of drag imposed upon the arrow to which it is attached, which can simply be dropped into the elongated canister.
